Fun, entertaining, magical, full of Christmas spirit and cheer! This is one of those stories that will warm your heart and capture the spirit and joy of Christmas. All characters in this book bring something fun and unique to the table making it almost impossible to put down.
Holly Jolly, Christmas Creek native and Christmas extraordinaire, is decided to take the Grinch out of Gordon Gills. Gordon walks into town ready to collect his inheritance and take off all that "Christmas nonsense" from the town. But he wasn't counting on his aunt's will stipulations and the magic if Christmas working and warming his cold and steel heart.
Silver Bells by Jacquie Biggar
Sweet, fun and very entertaining. Love stories were children play an important role and were real life subjects are approached. Main and supporting characters are easy to follow and like, as well as the storyline.
Christy hasn't been dealt the best hand lately. Not only was her sweet daughter diagnosed with diabetes, but she also had to deal with a divorce. Now she has to embrace the joys and difficulties of single parenting in a new place. Joel is a best seller author with a deadline to meet and a block to overcome. Add to that a new tenant go deal with and his stress level is through the roof. When they meet, sparks fly. Will they apprehension and past prevent them from a bright future?
We Need a Little Christmas
Justin Dane Burgess was the CEO of a retail company and everyone always wanted something from him at Christmas time. Unfortunately, he did not like Christmas because of things that happened in this past. His assistant, Francine Thomas tried to get hime to see Lilly Johansen that wanted to talk to him about giving homeless people coats. Of course, he did not want to see her. Lilly had some bad things happen at Christmas, but she was a happy person and tried to look at the positive side of things. She was always helping people out, especially her neighbors. Justin and Lily do finally meet, but you will have to read the book to see what happens. It was a cute Christmas romance story.
Frosty the Snowman.
Hali Gibson is in Alaska at Christmas time and is bumped from her plane seat. She talks Terry Carlton into flying her where she needs to go. She also has a puppy with her that her cousin asked her to take to her brother-in-law. As they are flying, the weather gets bad, Terry puts out a mayday, and they have to land on a frozen lake. You will need to read to see what happens. There is problems with infections, getting shelter, and of course the puppy. It is a cute story.
Annabelle Cooper moved back to her small hometown in the panhandle of Texas. She lost her car in a flood and then her apartment flooded and lost all her belongings. She was also heart broken as the man she spent a week with last year left and never called her. Annabelle's grandmother owned a paper that Annabelle was now the editor. They were having the annual party for the town when a man walked in. Annabelle recognized him as the man that broke her heart, but he was introduced as Rick Lassiter the new police chief (that was not the name she knew him by). You need to read to see what happens. It was a great short story. It had romance, mystery, suspense, and wonderful people in the small town.
Holly Jolly Christmas
Heather and Jeff were in love. Heather is graduating at 18 and Jeff is four years older getting ready to work on his master's degree. Heather's father has cancer and the family have (five girls and his wife) been concentrating on helping him through the chemo. Heather is upset because she realized that she is four months pregnant. She tells Jeff who is shocked at first, but then is happy he will be a father. Heather is thinking she needs to give the baby away. You need to read the book to see what happens. It was a great short book. The is laughter, tears and most of all Loy's of love. There are hard decisions that need to be made. Sometimes when you think things are going so wrong, they work out for the best.
Do You Hear What I Hear?
This book was different for me as I normally don't read books with magic and vampires in it. I think if you like that type of book you will like this short book. The theme is two people in love with one loving Christmas and having good memories, while the other hating Christmas with bad memories.
This was another type book I don't normally read. Most of it took place at the North Pole and there was a shape shifter in the story. For people who like this type of book, I think you would enjoy it.
So This Is Christmas
This is a sweet novella about young love that didn't know how to let the other know. Now they are grown and Chris has a chance to let Amanda know how he feels. But will he let her know and will she understand?
Grown Up Christmas List
I really liked this short love story. Dina left Baltimore and was staying in Ocean City, Maryland. She was hiding and sleeping in a staircase. She was accused of shoplifting and that is where she met Gavreel or Officer Gav Thomas. He knew there was something she was running from, but he did not want to scare her. Dina was a sweet and giving person as was Gav. You need to read the book to see what she was running from and her relationship with Gav.
Blue Christmas By The Sea
Tamsyn Lee worked full time at the Village restaurant and bar and part time at the library in a small town on the inter coastal waterway in Florida. Evan Hawke came back to this small town where he wrote his first book hoping to get his mojo back. When he first came to the Village restaurant, he didn't make a good impression on Tamslyn and her coworkers. They did get to spend time together so you need to read the story to see what happens. It was a good, sweet short story that I enjoyed.
Lily and her daughter, Gabriella, have been on the run for over two years. They are now living in a small town in Idaho. Lily works at a diner for minimum wage, but it is not enough to live on. Her boss and owner is a mean lady. Lily has to resort to working at a strip club to make ends meet, and this is where she see Zach Melo who is a cop. She is out doing her act and sees Zach Meloy who is a cop. She freezes, finishes her act, and leaves right away. Zach can tell that Lily is running away from something, but does notices she is a beautiful woman. This is a great short story by one of my favorite authors, Taylor Lee. Taylor writes where you feel everything that the characters are going through. I loved the story and Zach was such a great guy.
Let It Snow
Shana and Dane were partners who were now investigators. Dane had been in special ops. He was known as a real badass. But he was now in deep depression as someone who was after him, killed his mother. No one could get through to him. Shana loved him, but couldn't touch him. There was a lot of action in this short story that I loved. I was on the edge of my seat at times.

Merry, Did You Know?
I over this book. MC Love is pregnant, but the father wants nothing to do with her and the baby.m her family is high profile on TV and all media. MC tries to stay out of the media. MC is hiding out at a condo on the beach in Georgia and this is where she meets Doug Warren who has a condo next door. Doug lost his wife and daughter three years ago and has lost hope for the most part. He can't sleep at night and goes on his patio to play his guitar and sing. MC loves to listen to his singing. You need to read the book to see what happens in this beautiful love story. The Love family is crazy and makes you laugh at times!
O Christmas Tree
Cody Campbell lost his wife and son in a violet tornado three years ago and blames himself. He is raising a teenage daughter with no wife. Piper Cadence owns a cat cafe where Cody is going to build her a maze of sleep cubbies for the cats. Piper is attracted to Cody, but doesn't feel she is attractive enough for him. Cody's daughter Clari started working for Piper and they became good friends. Cody and Piper had things happen on their past where they thought they could never love again. There were a couple of mean people in the town that made it hard for Piper. It was a good short story.
Miss Sophia Vale is facing a life of genteel poverty after her father dies. Lord Wells, the Earl of Breconbridge is seen as a womanizer. But this may not be true. A Barron nearby is trying to get Sophia to himself for a sex slave. Enter the Earl, Jake who sees Sophia and can't take his eyes off her. This is a sweet regency love story that has intrigue and a mamma bear protecting her children. I enjoyed the story.
Deck The Hearts
Holly Jolly loves Christmas and Gordon Giles can't stand the holiday. Gordon inherited his great-aunts mansion where her will states he must make merry every Chtistmas to keep his inheritance. Holly was decorating the mansion for Christmas Creek's holiday spirit. Gordon ended up accidentally knocking Holly off a ladder, and eventually told her to leave and take down the decorations. Gordon found out he had to let the town use the mansion for Christmas or he would not get any of the monies. He decided to drive Holly crazy with Christmas to get her to hate it. There are many different things going on in this cute story.
Christy Taylor loved on Vancouver Island. She liked to jog on the Goose Walking Trail through Beacon Hill Park. As she reached the sea wall the man she saw every day for the last two months staring out to sea. Christy was an artist and on this day drew the scene with him staring out to sea. The man was Joel who was a writer and was having writer block. He was also angry with the world as he felt everyone just used him.
Christy's little girl, Jill, had type one diabetes where Jill had to check her often. Her constant attention to her daughter caused her husband to get a divorce. Christy and Jill lived in the house Joel owned, and Joel wanted Christy to move out. You need to read the book to see what happens. There are some wonderful people in this book. You can't help but love Jill. It was a good story.
Hark the Herald Ange Falls
Merit is trying to earn her halo. Merit and Luke Dawson were married a year and celebrating in Paris. Luke goes to the car for a gift to give his wife. He hears screaming and the next thing he knows she is dead. Vampires got her. This is not my type of book so I stopped reading.
Little Drummer Boy
This story takes place in the late 1700's in North Carolina.
I'll Be Home for Christmas
Former Navy Seal Lee Traherns saves a woman from the Mediterranean Sea. The woman was Sofia Morgan and she was trying to get away from the fighting that had started. They were stuck out in the Mediterranean Sea in a wooden rowboat trying to get to land or a ship to pick them up.
Santa Clause is Coming to Town
Nicole Flattery returns back to her small hometown from Boston. Her father was hanging lights on the outside of his house and fell off the ladder. When she gets to the hospital, the first person she sees is Landry Parsons. Nicole grew up with Landry and used to have a crush on him. Now he is divorced and has custody of his sweet daughter Kimmie. Nicole has spent the last four years working on her job in Boston and hasn't been home. She is all her Dad has. You need to read to see what happens. It was a good sweet story.
I adore Christmas! And each year, I buy enough Christmas movies and books to last through the season. My first purchase this year is Love Christmas, a twenty-book collection of Christmas novellas—and for a price I just couldn’t resist! That was my first score.
My second score was to read Santa Clause Is Coming to Town by Cynthia Cooke (which is just one novella in Love Christmas)! This fast-paced Christmas story really jump-started my mood for Christmas, something that Nicole Flattery, the main character in the novella needed, as well.
Nicole works in Boston and is on the fast track to the top of her profession and really didn’t have much time to bother with Christmas. That is, until she gets a call that her father took a bad spill when he was trying to put up his Christmas lights all by himself. She rushes to his side, but all her pain rushes back when everything around her reminds her about her painful past, a lost first love, and how her mother had died when she was a little girl.
Landry Parsons, who lives next door to Nicole’s father with his little girl, Kimmie, likes how Nicole slips so easily into his life, even helping him fill in for Nicole’s father’s commitment to act as the town’s Santa Clause. Little Kimmie grows attached to Nicole in the meantime because her own mother abandoned her, and she feels a special connection with this woman who his helping her and her father. Nicole, however, has some life-changing decisions to make when her career gets thrown into crisis in her absence.
Cynthia Cooke’s writing is engaging, and this fast-paced novella has just the right amount of story and just the right amount of Christmas. The reader cannot help but to get drawn in to the magic romantic relationship between Nicole and Landry, and the reader—I’m sure—will join me in getting into the Christmas spirit early. I cannot wait to devour the rest of the holiday novellas, written by nineteen additional award-winning authors, in Love Christmas!
