My personal favorites are the Chicken & Artichoke Florentine and the Tex-Mex Chicken. Another great feature of the cookbook is that the author notates her personal favorites (Mag's Fav). This helps you select a winner if you're pressed for time. A great book and a must have for anyone who enjoys chicken.
It is formatted well, with a 'back to table of contents' after each recipe which makes for a very pleasant reading experience as I always want to flick around.
The instructions are clearly laid out and easy to understand.
The recipes themselves are lovely and I liked the variety. Something in here for everyone and for many occasions.
My favorite is the Brunswick stew. OMG that is now on my list for haloween and Christmas when I have the gang around. I might even try it with some turkey if that would work .. hmmm?
I will be checking out the other books in this series.
I really like recipe books that refer back to the table of contents after each recipe. It just makes it easier to navigate. I also like that the directions are clearly written so that I don't have to wonder what to do or what the author was trying to say to do.
The quality of the recipes, of course, is the main thing. There is an amazing variety in this recipe book, which was a very pleasant surprise given that they are all chicken dishes. The variety is quite fabulous. I know that this recipe book will be used over and over again in our household.
I highly recommend!
Some of the recipes that I'll be trying are: Chicken Satay, Honey Mustard Wings. Mini Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches, Blue Chicken Potato Salad. Ham & Swiss Chicken-Potato Salad. Pistachio Chicken Salad. Brunswick Stew, Brandied Chicken and Chicken Chili Pie.
If you don't like chicken, then you'll change your mind when you see these recipes!
My favorite is the Honey Mustard Wings and the Curried Chicken Salad...
