In less than a year's time, ISIS grew into a terrifying reality in the Middle East.
Thousands have been persecuted and martyred by this network of Islamic terrorists, and their numbers are increasing. It seems impossible to turn to the news without hearing of new atrocities committed by this violent organization. As ISIS continues to gain momentum and advance its territory, many Christians find themselves feeling powerless and afraid.
What can be done in the face of such evil?
In this timely, compelling book, Lorraine Marie Varela exposes the spirit behind ISIS and provides seven specific prayer strategies to effect real change in the Middle East.
Through true-life stories of supernatural intervention, you'll see how God is already at work in the midst of the violence in the Middle East--and you'll learn how to join His work through powerful, effective prayer.
Don't be afraid.
Partner with the purposes of God--and declare to ISIS that Love is coming after them.

Lorraine Varela's insights about prayer has given me the understanding and vision about my responsibility to release the Power of the Holy Spirit
through my intentional prayer for ISIS.
As a believer of Jesus, I have received the SAME Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. (Romans 8:11) Consequently, I am equipped to pray Powerful and Effective prayers to destroy the works of the devil, and affect real change in this violent organization.
My daily prayer since reading "Love in the face of ISIS" consist in praying specifically for the successor and leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
to Declare in the name of Jesus for an encounter of God Almighty full of HIS love and mercy in his life. Transforming Baghdadi for HIS purposes and Glory as HE did in the life of Saul of Tarsus.
Thank you Lorraine for preparing and inspiring me to be a Mighty Prayer Warrior!
My next question, as a Christian, and perhaps yours as well, concerns how can I bear another’s burden when that other is a Christian brother or sister, whom I’ve never met and who lives in the Middle East? These are Christian brothers and sisters who have lost their homes, lost family members, fled as refugees to a neighboring nation leaving behind businesses and all their belongings; people who have no option but, to start life all over again with nothing but their lives and only the clothes on their backs. They are living lives of traumatic change. What do We do with that?
Of course, the first and most obvious answer to these questions is prayer. But, how do we pray? What do we pray for? And, if so inclined…how do we pray for ISIS?
These are the very issues that Lorraine Varela deals with in the pages of her book. If you want to know how to pray the fervent prayer of the righteous for your Christian brothers and sisters, Lorraine’s book will give you the guidance you seek. She and her husband traveled thousands of miles to visit face to face with these hurting believers to interview them, to cry with them, and to pray with them. Let her guide you as to how to effectively bear one another’s burdens even when they are thousands of miles away and they are people you have never met.
