As a box set, Love of the Games puts several rock hard athletes in one spot. The cast of characters come alive and I could not help but to cheer them on as they worked their way through love's obstacles. With a lot of HOT ... HOT ... HOT mixed in.

Shayne McClendon has become one of those authors that I drop everything when she has a new release. Her work continues to be fresh and honest. The women in Shayne's writing share qualities of strength, independence and survival yet it is balanced with a lovely softness for the men that deserve. Every since the beautiful and talented Shayne McClendon first published "Lets get ready to Rumble" I've been in love with these sports themed stories. Each one is a stand alone story so you have a choice to read from front to back or any order in-between. These stories have a common theme Sports but none is common at all. Each story filled with characters that are remarkable. Warning: you'll need a box of tissue near by because you'll find yourself crying while reading about survival and true determination and grit and giggling and sighing in happiness. When you're done and want, no, NEED to read more, check out the rest of Shayne's growing library of books.

This star rating was hard for me. I love Shayne's writing. ALWAYS. But I hate short stories. I rarely buy them. I mean I can list on one hand ones I have. My reason is they are too short they don't capture my interest or I'm so into it I need more. So what to do what to do when my fav author releases short stories. As she would tell me I put on my big girl panties and trust her. So I did. These stories were amazing. I loved them all. They're all different and for me all could have been longer. Especially the first one. each story was written so well and a must read if you have a busy week. You can fit them in between everything else!! Buy it and enjoy!!!

This was my first Shayne book after The Barter System, which I loved beyond belief. But I was skeptical; sometimes authors have only one genius book in them. This collection of characters and storylines convinced me that Shayne McClendon is the real deal; she can continuously create people and situations and worlds that draw me in, push me to feel all kinds of emotions, and make me grateful to have been invited. This collection showed me that other "sports romances" that I'd liked previously were fine, but the genre could be so much more. Now let's get Shayne to write a rockstar series and see if she can do the same thing!

Five wonderful stories. I'm not that into sports but this book and these characters took me to the games and made me a believer. There were some laughs and I cried some too. Every story was heart warming. Shayne McClendon is one of my very favorite authors. Her stories are always very well thought out and the characters are usually people I would like to have for friends. Super hot athletic guys and beautiful irresistible women. Love stories that make you believe that there really is such a thing as True Love. Highly recommend this collection.

Demitria and Nikolai are so perfect for each other and their story gives me faith that love can be found if you are open to it. Harley, Beck and Dex's story reminds me that love can prevail and that you can overcome anything with love and support from those that love and support you.

READY TO RUMBLE
Holy hotness what a fantastic book this is.
Demitria is a wonderful character. She's strong and fiery. She's knows what she wants & that's Nikolai, a friend of the family for many years.

This book contains a lot of sexual tension, very sexy scenes and some brilliant characters. I need my very own Nikolai. I could seriously sit here and drool about him for hours.

This author never fails to amaze me. I hope she keeps on writing lots more books and opening our minds to lots more excitement:)

Another fantastic story by one of my favourite authors.
This is a really sweet story with some great sexy scenes. Diesel is the hot hockey player. Mackenzie is brilliant. Another strong character I loved reading about.
This is a really great quick read. I highly recommend... Ok what am I saying. I highly recommend anything this author writes.

This is Josie and Maxs story. Josie is a strong female character. She has gone through hell & she's survived. Wow I just loved Max. Tissues for drooling were needed!! As for the sex scenes they were super hot.
I inhaled this book. The storyline was fantastic. When I read this authors books I feel as if I'm in the book. Great writing.

Shayne has the ability and imagination to suck you into her stories with details that make you think you are actually living and breathing what is happening. In some cases you think you actually know what the characters are personally going through themselves because it hits on something you have gone through in your own life.

The first story is Ready to Rumble. It features the story of Demi and Nikolai. Both fighters and both with things to hide and fight against. The ending will surprise you though I guarantee. This is one of the first books I ever read by Shayne a few years back and I fell in love with the way she wrote.

The second story is Breaking The Ice. Diesel and Kenzie * sighs * oh my Diesel will make you drool I swear. Simply an action packed story filled with steam lol read it you will see what I mean

Story three is Time to Make Doughnuts..... ikr? What do doughnuts have to do with games? well take Max who is craving anything carbs and sweetness and bring in Josie and you have a suspenseful steamy erotic story that will leave your jaw dropping in what happens next

Story 4 is Win Lose or Raine. This is Raine and Jakes story. A one night stand and a chance meeting years later filled with lots of hot guys.....well they are all hot, but you need to read this book to find out why all the mystery. I guarantee you will LOVE this book.

Finally but not last is The Three Pointer Dex Harley and Beck's story. A very powerful and moving story that will move you in so many ways. This has to be the one that made me go through a lot of emotions and I can understand why Shayne left it for last.

You need to pick this book up and read all 5 stories. chocolate wine Kleenex and coffee are a must though. There is exp;licit sexual content in this book so if you are faint of hearty I would pass but if you love a good solid packed book with steamy scenes BUY THIS BOOK!

Shayne your amazing fabulous and awesome and I seriously wait with biting my nails to see what novels you bring out next and scoop them up quickly. your simply a master at writing and I can't get enough of you. Fabulous work <3
