What a great great read from beginning to end, I cried, laughed and thought wow so real. Wow is all I can say, everyone needs to read this book, it is so inspirational and a guide for not the older young ladies but younger ladies as well.
Job well done Brittany Daniel
The only problem I’ve had with this book and others which are intended to be read by only one sex and not the other, is that, when all is said and done they can benefit both, but to different extends.
When we are born, either male or female, we’re born with a clean slate. Not a single bit of knowledge in our minds, not a single bit of life’s experiences which will remain with us until the day we die.
As we get older we accumulate a lot life experiences, the pleasant ones which will always make us smile; and the ones which create a low point in our lives, a low point which will ultimately turn into baggage that we’ll always be forced to carry with us wherever we might go, like the ghost of Marley in the “Christmas Carol” forced to be chained to the money strongboxes throughout eternity.
As we get older we are continuing to come up with new aspirations for our mundane lives, aspirations which fall asunder due to the above baggage.
In her book, Licensed Professor Counselor Brittany Daniel attempts to help her readers cast away this baggage by having them do a thorough examination of themselves to determine why their baggage exists. The reason for not achieving an aspiration today might be as simple as not getting or accomplishing something as a child. [Example: Not getting a role in a school play as a young child because the other girl was slightly prettier can ruin an aspiration to become an actress/movie star]. The baggage we carry with us today as seen by this example is rooted in the doubt, fear, anger, etc. we’ve experienced in our life history, especially those from our childhoods.
The author’s encouragement in having us do a self-assessment of our past, particularly as it pertains to a specific failed desire, should have us laughing at the reason for the predicaments we’re dealing with now, when we realize what has caused it.
For wanting to help her readers overcome the barriers which have been holding them back from achieving their wants in life, how can I not give Ms. Daniel the 5 STARS I’ve given her.
