The love story doesn't end there. Written in journal format this heavily researched biographical fiction is entrancing and enchanting. Thwarted at every turn by family members on both sides, Sophia and Natty triumph--and triumph well. Do not pass this one up. We're glad we didn't.
Kat Henry Doran, Wild Women Reviews.
This book is full of juicy history. I am impressed by the amount of research it must have taken to create this love story. There is interaction and challenges with both sides of the family, and maturity of the characters handled so well by the author.
I am impressed how well written this book is. The author knows how to turn a phrase! If you love history, especially anything about the Salem witch trials, which I find fascinating, then you will want to cozy up and read this excellent book.
In Diana Rubino’s book, I was drawn to the idea that love, patience, and perhaps some forgiveness can help us overcome that which haunts us most. I highly recommend this book for anyone with an interest in the Salem Witch Trials, historical romance, or even Nathaniel Hawthorne himself.
