I received this book free from Masquerade Tours in exchange for an honest opinion in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission guidelines.
Sub-Prime was the first story. It was short and bitter sweet. It was about two people brought together by unfortunate circumstances. The moral is you have to do what you have to do to survive.
Escape to Love is the second story. This story is about an abused woman and an escaped convict. The story is so touching. She risks everything to help this man because he saves her daughter and because she loves him.
The Chosen is the third story. This story is real short. It’s about people working to keep their dreams alive.
Angela is the forth story. This is a short story. But it’s about a limo driver and a woman who can predict the future. She basically saves his life.
Love in a Hopeless Place Is the fifth story. This was a little longer. Its about a woman in a bad marriage.
Emma Calin’s collection is filled with well written and engaging tales that are well worth the read. And at less than 200 pages it makes a great read for a lazy afternoon, a plane ride, or just about any time.
All of the stories are well written and engaging. They make you want to keep reading. The two novellas featured in the collection even left me wishing that they had been developed further as they would have make great stories. Well done Emma Calin, I really enjoyed your work.
