About the Author
Richard Rockfire is a professional Graphic Artist, Writer, Actor, Musician, Producer, Inventor, and Character Vocalist. He was born on July 27, 1968 on Jacksonville Beach of north Florida. He went to both: public and private schools, graduating as a full-honor student in 1984. His father went through World War II and retired from the United States Navy back in the late 1960’s. Being a military family offered some good insight and personal discipline as Richard grew. In Long Beach, California Richard’s mom, Doris, formed her first teen-club, including the famous help of great people like Roy Clark and Buck Owens of Hee-Haw, Jan and Dean, and some of the original members of the Beach Boys’ crew. Several other wonderful artists from those truly epic times also had a hand in helping to inspire many teens of the 1960’s. By the time Richard was just nine-years-old, he was performing one – three songs weekly at his local church, where he played live on his electric guitar, as well as performing music on the church’s organ itself. Richard loved the stage and was very comfortable and at home on it. Whether it was church, or any one of the numerous school plays or events, Richard was usually involved. At the ripe old age of eleven, Richard began doing public performances to benefit Jerry’s Kids for the MDA (the most important organization of Richard’s younger life). Over the years, Richard has aided in raising nearly half of a million dollars for numerous nonprofit organizations. By the time Richard turned 14, he also began raising money for the Shriners’ and aiding Shands Hospital of Florida to help people, which were the victims of serious burns. Over the years, Richard has worked with many wonderful organizations and received many awards for his outstanding aid and service in helping others. Richard has worked directly with the Disney Company, Universal Studios/Pictures, Marineland of Florida, and several major entertainment companies for decades. Richard was also a (SLED) South Carolina Law Enforcement officer at one point and began studying and working in areas of political and social science.
