Charlotte redeemed herself for the stunt she pulled years ago, well, to me anyway. To Ian, not so much. He’s going to make her suffer. He does everything to make her leave but she’s not leaving without her Master.
Ian tries to ignore the attraction and tries to treat her like the other subs he plays with, but it’s clear that it’s not possible. There’s too much passion between them and love, even though Ian denies it!
I adored Charlotte. Very strong female who takes care of her family and doesn’t let anyone walk over her. I loved how she handled Amanda and stood up to Ian. I love strong heroines and Charlotte is the very definition of one!
Loved, loved this book!!!
I knew when we first met Ian in book one that whoever his lady ended up being she was going to have to be tough. Ian needed a strong woman and he got it in Charlie.
What can I say about this book? I loved Ian and Charlie. I loved them separately, but I especially loved them together. They brought out the best in the other person. Sean tells his brother at one point that Charlie is Ian's match and he is one hundred percent correct. She's the right amount of sweet and tough and exactly perfect for Ian.
This is a great series, but I wouldn't recommend reading them out of order since there are elements that carry over from previous books.
It is very hard to pick a favorite of this collection and because I love them all, I won't even try. I wasn't sure what to expect from the story-line, but in a matter of a few pages, in book 1, I was hooked. Sean Taggert, better known as Little Tag, Ian Taggert's baby brother begins it all in "The Dom Who Loved Me." His love for Grace takes them on an amazing journey with conflicts, passion and drama that will keep you on edge from beginning to end.
Ian Taggert, aka Big Tag, is brilliantly fleshed out with no pun intended to his 6'6" height. He is as fierce as the Vikings were and leads his team of operatives on missions that would have made their hair curl. He makes it difficult to love him, yet he is positively irresistible. For 5 years, he has been only half alive, his spirit broken by the woman he loved with all his soul, and who he thought betrayed him, as she died in his arms.
OMG, has Ian ever met his match! Charlotte, better known as Charlie, suddenly shows up on his doorstep with a sassy grin that just about stops his heart. No spoilers here except to say, the list of enemies keeps growing and the erotic combustion between them is off the charts! I LOVE Ian, especially because of his vulnerability which he tries desperately to keep under wraps.
This is a gloriously poignant story that challenges Charlotte's love for her sister at the expense of her love for Ian and how she redeems herself to ensure they have a future together. There are so many intriguing individuals that make up McKay-Taggert Security, I am already chomping at the bit to begin reading Book 6, Damon Knight's tale. Books #7, 8, and 9 are on my wish list. Kudos Ms. Blake for making a complex plot flow so effortlessly into a most incredible series!
