Dr. Gersper has written a spellbinding novel, based on the lives of his uncle and aunt, who, with luck and the help of others, overcame traumatic adversities and launched themselves along a path of happiness, success and eternal love. The novel is both fascinating and exceptionally well-written. This is particularly amazing to me, not only because it is Dr. Gersper's first novel, but also because he recently celebrated his 80th birthday. I'm certain that the story of the lives of Charlie and Molly will be an inspiration to anyone who reads it, because it shows that it's possible for two people to love each other, deeply and tenderly, for their entire lives. It also shows that personal redemption is possible; that personal responsibility is as important in our modern world as it was 100 years ago; and that it is important for everyone to live lightly on the land. Love Letters from the Grave is a truly inspiring story, and I am pleased for the opportunity to recommend it highly.
It has been such a pleasure to work with Dr. Paul Gersper on his inspiring and absorbing novel, LOVE LETTERS FROM THE GRAVE. From the moment I first read the manuscript, my fascination for the characters, the love story and extraordinary backgrounds of the two protagonists, Charlie and Molly, was piqued. To then discover that this is all based on the true tale of Paul's aunt and uncle, as demonstrated by his outstanding historical and factual knowledge of the lives they both led and the historical epochs and cultural backgrounds in which they found enduring love, was a beautiful bonus. By the time we'd finished, I wished that I, too, had really known Charlie and Molly and had some of their magic rub off on me. And perhaps, by working on this novel with Paul, it has. It has been a pleasure and an honour to co-write and edit Paul's novel for him, and a wonderful example of co-creation at its best. Paul, I wish you all success with your book - your labour of love - and in true Charlie and Molly fashion, may that love be paid forever onward.
