I received an ARC copy from the author for an honest review. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read and review this book. I loved Emma and Jack's story and was hooked from the first moment they met and literally ran into each other! There were a few times while I was reading that I just wanted to scream at her though and say "I know you were hurt before, but that man is amazing." I love that Jack never gave up on Emma, and how he firmly knew that she was the one for him. I like books where the characters change, and when Jack met Emma he changed and over time as she learned to trust and believe in love again Emma changed. I really enjoyed the ending because I thought it was going to go one way, and then was pleasantly surprised. This is a story that I am sure I will reread. I am also adding Jack to my list of book boyfriends!

This book was a little too sweet for me personally. I like the characters and the premise but found the main female Emma to be too weak and whiny. I mean, come on! The first husband was a dirtbag. MOVE ON!! I won't spoil the other major detail but it was too much for me. I wanted to shake her and say "Grow a backbone, girl!" I loved the camaraderie of the friendships and the tight knit feeling that the characters have for each other. I loved Gramps but otherwise...... Jack was great but also too sickly sweet. I can't say that I would smack someone for reading this in my presence but I also can't say that I would recommend it without the warning in my review title.

So often with the freebies, I am happy to say goodbye to the end of a book and never even look for others by the same author not in this case. I came right to the computer and bought the remaining two books in the series, can't wait to be done work today so I can read them! I read a lot. I am a former proofreader (if there is suck a thing as a 'former' one), and read about 35 books a week in my spare time. As a result I spend a lot of time with the free books, but I'm happy to buy these two, I only hope they are as good as this, the first one. Kudos!

Great love story about Emma and Jake, both had a not an easy childhood. You learn about Emma's live also through her special friends Pete, Missy and Ben, about their hometown and the history they have together. This special friendship gives the story much more than only the love story. The support she gets from her friends and her Gramps is one that you cherish in your heart.

This is not an easy love story lots of up and downs between them so it keeps you captured. So take a seat, relax, maybe take a glass of wine and enjoy this great love story.

This is a story that I will re-read in the future. Can't wait for the next story about Holly and Pete in Work like you don't need the money, hopefully it will come out soon!!

The first 1/2-3/4 was great....then it got so bad. Skimming didn't even work. I gave up and deleted. She does nothing but whine and cry and goes into hysteric over an innocent mistake and this goes on for pages and pages.!!!!!!! After all this he still wants her.

This book was way way too long hashing over this woman's insecurities, what was she 3 years old. Someone always had to kiss her booboos. The book could have been really good but it missed, I hope the author reads the reviews here, keep it shorter and more to the point, we know they have sex and that they like but after a while it gets boring having to constantly read about it. The book is predictable and I could not sympatize or emphatize with Emma, I was rooting for him to leave.

This is the story of Emma and Jack. Emma is a scorn women who does not want to put her heart out there again and Jack is the rich playboy who under normal circumstances does not do relationships. Between her friends and gramps she decides whether or not Jack is with taking a chance on. It's a good love story with a nice ending. The only think that annoyed me was the fact that Emma jumped to conclusions on everything without giving Jack time too explain what was going on other than that I enjoyed the story.

This book was really great but omg!,, Emma was just wayy tooo stupid am sorry...talk about delusional and unrealistic... You have the perfect guy and because of a bad marriage you put him through hell? I wanted to smack her and her friends for always babying her like seriously!!!!....I hope book 2 is much more realistic
