This was my perfect read for a Friday night after a stressful week at work, it was short, straight to the point, low angst and delightfully sweet – exactly what I was looking for.
I’ve already said its short, but I liked the way the author made every page count, she choose her words carefully and delivered a likeable storyline concerning two closeted men, from very different backgrounds.
Theo is an-up-and-coming star, maybe even a Oscar nominee?, he’s on location in a small English village for a period drama. On advice from his Agent, he’s firmly in the closet.
Eddie on the other hand, though also firmly in the closet, is a part-time Gardner and part-time Extra, but not really going anywhere in his life – hell, he’s never even been to London!
Total opposites, with nothing in common…..or have they?
I’m sure you can guess where it’s going and it does! but the author took a standard template and made it into something worth reading. I really liked Theo and Eddie together, especially with the added bonus of Edie’s sarcasm which I have to tell you, appealed to my British sense of humour immensely and took the storyline to another level by adding character and depth.
Because it’s short, we have a HFN rather than a HEA, but that’s how it should be for this particular story, it works well
My rating of 4* is based purely on length (about 60 pages) and not due to the content, as the author did a very good job and I will look forward to reading more from her.
****I would like to thank the author for the privilege and opportunity of reading this ARC. My review was an honest opinion of the book****
Two men find love in an unlikely place, the set of an upcoming TV show they are both acting in. Neither are “out” so they are hesitant to jump into an affair. One fateful day they let passion overtake them, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Theo is a rising star who is content with his sexuality but cannot come out of the closet because his agent thinks it could hurt his new career. Eddie is just coming into his sexuality and is deciding what he wants to do with his life.
Love on Location is really a destination fling that turns into something more. I enjoyed reading this fluff read because of the sweetness these two share. This M/M is about two men who are coming into their own and love comes along unexpectedly. If you like quick reads then I would say pick up this one. The attraction they build is sweet and steamy; but for those who are new to M/M romance it isn’t so intense.
I hope we get to read more about Eddie and Theo as their love blossoms and grows. Plus Eddie was fun to read with his humor and free spirit.
I was gifted a copy by the Jeep Diva in exchange for an honest review. The ratings and opinions are solely my own and I was in no way compensated for it.

love-on-location-audiobookShort and sweet, this story is narrated by the very talented Joel Leslie, thereby increasing my enjoyment exponentially.
Theo Samuels is an actor, filming on location in the village of Stoneydale. There he meets Eddie Henderson, who’s working the set in a minor job, but Theo can’t seem to keep his eyes off Eddie and it appears the attraction is mutual. That’s actually the last thing Theo wants because he’s deeply closeted and worried that coming out would affect his career. But the two can’t deny their attraction and when they are caught in the rain one day while out sightseeing, they can’t keep their hands off each other.
Bemoaning the fact that Theo lives in London and Eddie lives in Stoneydale where he’s hoping to find a better job, they decide that they’ll just stay together temporarily and deal with their separation the next time Theo takes off to do another role. Knowing they’ll find it difficult to part, now or in the future, they take a chance and Eddie heads to London with Theo.
Without revealing any more of the fairly short plot, I can say that they do get their HEA. This story is low level angst, with two sweet MCs and an outstanding narrator. Thinking of picking up the audiobook? Don’t hesitate.
The bright, attractive cover depicts two handsome men, well representing the story.
Theo is an Actor and is sent to yet another location for filming. He loves being an Actor but you can sense he's lonely. Eddie works around the gardens where Theo is filming. These two lovely men strike up a friendship and leaves no doubt to where it will eventually lead.
Theo and Eddie are very much in the closet, both having reasons for not outing themselves as being Gay. Anything they do must remain a secret but for how long? There is really no solution to them attempting a relationship, both leading very different lives, living far away from each other, it's not practical at all for them to be involved with each other. Does that stop them? Nope it does not and thank God for that.
It's always a pleasure reading a book by this Author. She builds up a beautiful romantic story that at first you are unsure if it will give you a happy ever after. The characters are lovable and very believable which always help me connect with her stories.
This was a short read but if you love M/M romance, you will enjoy this book.
Eddie Henderson is a gardener and also a local. He becomes Theo’s tour guide so that Theo can get acquainted with the town and its roots to help him with his character building. Eddie is sarcastic and witty and pretty much what Theo needs to get through all the drama thrust upon him in this book.
This is a sweet love story, a lot of fun, and wildly entertaining!!!
