Love, Lucy is a perfect example of a book that just makes you feel good. It's a modern retelling of A Room With A View, and does a seamless job of incorporating the societal pressures that drive modern youth, as the original did in its era.
The romance between Lucy and Jesse may be fast for some, but I found that it worked for them. I love how they affect each other, how she draws him in and he lets her loose. Their relationship is sweet and fun and, at times, dramatic, and it makes me want to go to Italy to man-hunt!
As much as I love their romance, the book is really about the struggle between what you want, what you dream of being, and the expectations that people have, and floundering to find the balance between them.
Love, Lucy is a light, fun read, and I highly recommend!
