In this book you have Eden and Ryder. Ryder meets Eden for the first time online in the most unconventional way. In a situation in which he would normally have ever found her, he is drawn to her and creates an account to get more of her. While keeping is identity a secret while they get to know each other, they become really close in such a small amount of time. Eden never pushes to see what he looks like because to both of them, they don't want to ruin what they have. After some time, Ryder gives in and what was once an emotional connection has now turned physical. They keep their virtual relationship just that for a while, never meeting in person but when Ryder doesn't hear from Eden and starts to get worried something might have happened to her, he uses the only clue he has to where she might be and goes to find her. This begins the story of their real life relationship.
Once they finally meet, there are so many twists you never would have guessed. The story keeps you on your toes but is full of laughter, wit, sadness and love. One of my favorite things about this book is how realistically it's written. It isn't full of dramatics and situations that could never happen in real life. The author gives you realistic characters so full of personality and a story line that compels you to read more.
Eden is independent, funny, compassionate and a kick ass heroine. And Ryder is the rich, handsome, painfully attractive male lead that is sentimental, romantic, honest and when the time is right, an alpha where it counts. The two of them share an almost immediate emotional connection that grows into everything the more they get to know each other.
I was already a fan of this author going into this story and after reading an excerpt during the pre-release time, I was counting down the days until it came out. What I could not have expected was exactly how much I truly LOVED this book. It's definitely going on my favorites list, this author is now entirely on my radar to read more books she's written and I am recommending this book to EVERYONE!!
A great read!!
Ryder could have any woman he wanted but he was bored with the shallow and money hungry gold diggers who latch onto him at parties and social events. He wanted to meet someone that didn’t know anything about him, his job or his family. He yearned for an honest relationship based on common interests and an instant attraction He found that and more when he sat down one night, turned on his laptop, and looked at the screen.
Eden never expected to meet a nice guy online because they really didn’t exist. They love you and leave you with a broken heart which affects not only you, but the people close to you. She enjoyed listening to Ryder’s sexy voice and she felt connected to him right away. She looked forward to their nightly conversations as they got to know each other the best they could over the cyber universe. After they would say goodbye and log off, she would lie in bed and dream about the life she could never have with Ryder. It was beautiful, loving and everything she hoped it would be, but it was only a dream.
What is the clue that takes Ryder in search of Eden, and what does he find when he gets there?
I was so excited about this book that I had to read it all in one night and I wasn’t disappointed. Penelope Ward has given us a magical story about two people who met in an unconventional way who deserved to be loved and cherished. Their story is sensual, intense and deeply moving and I felt as if I was there with them on their journey. I
could continue listing all the wonderful things about “Love Online” but the important thing is that once you read it, you will never forget it.
While you might argue that you've probably read another book where the two main characters met online, I can assure you without a doubt that you haven't read anything like what comes after that first encounter between Ryder and Eden. Their story is unique, with little twist and turns to keep us, the readers, guessing what's next.
This is a story with soul, full of heart. A story that proves that not because a person has access to the best things in life that person is happy and fulfilled, and not because a person is struggling to make ends meet that person is unhappy and unfulfilled. You would think Ryder is a spoiled brat just because the way he grew up, but is the complete opposite, he has such a beautiful understanding of human nature, probably because his past experiences. I loved the utmost respect he shows towards Eden, the love and admiration he develops for her. And Eden, goodness that woman is so humble and good natured, so fiercely independent, with way too much responsibility on her shoulders, but she embraced it and is doing what she can to live each day in the best way possible.
I loved this book so much, every single one of the characters spoke to me in a different way, every one of them taught me a lesson. That is the kind of book that an avid reader never forgets, the ones that make a profound impression on us.
*** Please, please I beg you, go into this story blind, you'll understand why once you submerge yourself into Ryder and Eden's journey.
