About the Author
I am a DIY author, starting late in life after working in the legal field as a Paralegal and in real estate as a Broker and Appraiser. What qualifies an author to write on a particular topic is his/her education, experience and background. I began writing historical fiction after earning a master's degree in International History. I am captivated by the Second World War, maybe because it's "fresh history" - a generation away from the baby boomers. After graduation I taught college history at my alma mater, as an adjunct. I also taught public relations which is equally fascinating. The challenge of public relations is to explain the volatility of a hot topic in calm, creative and practical terms. This is the stuff of mediation.
I have always been a student of metaphysics and I enjoy applying unseen principles to logical everyday life. My writing reflects this. Two classics that influenced my writing are Thornton Wilder's play, "Our Town" and Edward Bellamy's utopian novel "Looking Backward." Both of those books apply the unseen to ordinary everyday life, and show how the perception of the unseen can change the perception of our reality in the present.
