Keith is lonely and unsure and it's almost Thanksgiving. He doesn’t know what he wants or where he’s going in life until a storm forces him inside out of the rain.
Sadler runs his family’s bookstore. He’s open to possibilities. Success. Magic. Love. A future. He only needs one more ingredient—maybe the sexy wet guy who just walked in?
This is an insta-love, magical realism romp with a happy ever after ending.

Keith Foxworth is feeling down, bored and lonely. He’s missing his Nana and her cooking. Nothing has been going right for him lately. He decides to make a pie, comfort food but has no idea how. Finally deciding to make a pie he sets off to Grocery Store.
It’s cold and wet, rain pouring down so he ducks into the nearby bookstore to shelter. Then he decides to get a book with recipes for pies.
Spotting a guy behind the counter he saunters over and asks for help.
‘Hi, I’m Sadler’ the handsome dark haired offers his hand. Keith shakes and introduces himself. Telling Sadler his needs he soon finds just what he wants.
Immediately Keith gets home he prepares to make his pie. Deciding on a recipe he starts and is soon flummoxed. Every time he adds an ingredient the print on the page keeps changing to different items, sometimes listing stuff not usually used in a dessert pie. Whyhoo, when he bakes it and tastes it he nearly chokes and throws the pie away.
Deciding to take the book back to the shop and get a refund, he’s surprised when Sadler offers to come and make the pie with him to prove he’s wrong about the book.
Between them, they manage to cook up something more than a pie. There’s something mysterious happening and there’s a food fight In the kitchen that leads to shenanigans between these two guys.
Yeh, a really quick, short read, no time for deep storylines, characters developments etc. But, the magic worked for Keith and Sadler.
