There are lots of humorous parts, plenty of loving parts, oh such romantic parts and some very sad parts, but the love and the connection shone so bright, like a diamond.
I blooming well loved Amelia and Wade, even if I was a tad confused by Liam, but he did actually add an extra dimension into the story.
This might only be the second book of this series, but you can already feel that it is going to be an unforgettable series. I absolutely love that we're going to follow Chloe as he grows up, and I for one can't wait to see what she gets up to, especially with her baby sibling making an entrance.
WayLynn, such a shame that she had to find out why her husband was a sneaky sod, but she handled it with such class, unlike her husband, she is one very strong determined lady.
Wade! Swoon worthy sexy cowboy, its hard to continue living after such an atrocity but starting a new job in a new town is a good place to start,
I loved how well Wade got on with all the Parker brothers, he seemed to fit in really well around the ranch.
It was nice to see Amelia and WayLynn spending time together, enjoying having sister time, amongst all them boys!
How protective are the brothers! but Wade handled himself.
I absolutely loved the bond Wade and Amelia shared even if they tried to deny its existence, they certainly ticked all the boxes for having the once in a lifetime love thing going on and I was grinning wide whilst reading this.
There was plenty of hilarity and loved the significance of April the Giraffe, can't wait to see what animals play significant roles in future books.
This book has everything you expect from a Kelly Elliott book, it keeps you entertained and whilst you want to finish quickly you can't help but make it last.
I loved everything about Love Profound, I was kept on the edge of my seat, with all the goings on... a roller coaster of emotions, making for a fun read. Can't wait to get the next installment. It certainly is shaping up to be a fabulous series.
Profound Love is the 2nd book in her Cowboys and Angels series. (I can never say that series name without singing the tagline from that country song!!!) We are once again welcomed into the Parker family. I absolutely LOVE the characters the author has introduced to us in this series! After Mrs. Elliott gave us glimpses of baby sister, Amelia in book one...I was so excited to see her story would be in the 2nd book.
Amelia, the baby girl of the family..is the quite the strong willed woman. She is an author of romance novels but sadly after her own disastrous relationship, she finds writing about love is much easier than actually trying to find it! In fact the thought of finding a man to share that intimate part of herself with isn't something she wants to risk again. She had built walls and works hard to safe guard her heart. Don't get me wrong, Amelia is a woman who knows what she wants, she embraces her sexuality and isn't afraid to show just HOW much she embraces her sexuality. I will be honest, at the beginning of the book I thought it was going in a completely different direction. The author completely threw me for a loop early on but oh my sweet heaven she gives us Wade Adams. Sweet mercy, he epitomizes every book boyfriend you can imagine! When they meet.....lets just say its quite the climactic moment! Even though Amelia see's this man who yes, makes her want to break the barriers around her heart, she is still holding back.
Wade, a college friend of Amelia's brother Trevor has been through so much in his young life. His story just broke my heart!!! He needed a change ...a new start and what better place to do just that, among friends. He accepts a job working on the Parker family ranch. He isn't a stranger to most of the Parker boys, so his meshing into the Parker family doesn't take long. However he does tend hold back to some degree. Loss always causes you to guard your heart. BUT.... Oh my, this character just makes me weak in the knees. Not only how the relationship begins to evolve between him and Amelia but his interactions with everyone. He is the all around great guy that just makes you smile because of all the goodness and heart he doesn't hide. (yes...I know its a book, but holy moly he is an amazing character) You find yourself a cheering the both of them on. You want so much to see love and happiness in their lives. Is it a risk they are both willing to take?
It doesn't take long before we start to see both Amelia and Wade form a friendship. That I loved.....we got to enjoy the journey of their relationship and it was amazing. Those type relationships you can read about that just make you smile!!! Don't get me wrong, those brothers of hers are NOT yes men. This is their baby sister...so Mr. Wade has to walk that chalk line! That was another aspect of this book I completely adored!! FAMILY.....we had that front row seat into the lives of the Parker family. We get to see the relationship between brothers and sisters. How protective these men are over their woman. Now mind you, they all have their moments!!! Often those come with a bit of comic relief!! Yes, the author gives us some laugh out loud moments. On my word....the Aunt in this book had me in stitches (I think someone may have met one of mine). Little Chloe and her pets literally had me in tears of laughter! The host of supporting characters only added to the beauty of Amelia and Wades story.
I would love to share so much more but I CANNOT spoil this book for you. This is one you will want to sit, immerse yourself in and trust me you will love every single moment. A love story with all the feels, a strong female lead and a male lead that just melts your heart....then you want Love Profound in your library!!!!
Wade, a good friend of her brother Trevor, comes to work on the ranch. I just want this guy to be mine. A cowboy, that sings like Clint Black and can dance ~heart is melting here~
I love when a book pulls me in that has me feeling that the book is taking place around me. Like I'm right there watching it unfold. I could actually invision Wade and Amelia dancing. It was awesome!
This book had sizzling hot sex, romance, ups and downs of relationships and humor. There was periods in this book that I had to stop reading because my eyes were too blurry to see. I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Aunt Vi is great. The stuff that comes out of her mouth is so funny. I love her take on life. Niece Chloe absolutely steals the show. What a darling that adds even more humor.
Love Profound is book 2 in the Cowboys and Angels Series. It is easily a stand a lone. In fact, I have not read book 1 and had no problem following along and thoroughly enjoying this book. I am definitely not missing the rest of the series.
