When faith lost her husband to a tragic accident she moved here mother and young son to hide away and heal at the tip of an isolated peninsula, surrounded by glittering water and soaring lines of trees and not much else. The imaginary lives she crafted were the only excitement she'd allowed herself since her husband had died, so she had to make them spectacular.
Zander Minnelli rolled his Harley off of the ferry from Manitoulin Island to Tobermory. After twenty years in the army with six months left before he retires he was coming home for a visit getting ready to move home for good. On the way home to pine harbour he stops at Greta's Bakery for a piece of pie and a last minute alone.
When he makes eye contact with faith for the first time he felt like he was hit by lightning she was gorgeous. When he introduced himself and she starts questioning him because he looks bad ass, about swords and sawed of shot guns he is a little stunned. They start a conversation that ends up lasting an hour and he does not want to let her go. She's a little skittish but he has to see her again.
What started off as a friendship ends up a whirlwind courtship he falls for her precious little boy as much as he does her and as he only has a week before he has to go back to the army in his heart he needs her to know he is all in and wants her to wait for him. Faith is afraid of what he makes her feel but she is finally ready to take a chance. Zander is broad and strong and sex on a stick mouth watering.

He needs to show them stability and understanding with all his love for them he will make them whole and he wants forever. Will faith take a chance? Find out for yourself in this must read novel for anyone who loves romance.Heat level scorching!!
I think with this pine harbour series every book is better than the last I'm sad that it is ending and I will miss these wonderful people that Zoe York has spun so creatively. They seem like old friends. She makes you feel every emotion like your there with them and its hard to say goodbye.
I just picked up the Wardham series as now that I have delved into this exciting author, I cannot put her books down. I know that this authors series will be every bit as good as the last and am anticipating reading them!
The story flows freely as if she has lived every moment with these characters. You can feel their fear their love, joy and sadness, so heart felt and beautiful each and every one. Zoe York is remarkable in her genius as a writer! I feel so privileged to have found her work 5****'s
This is the story of Zander, a 20 year career soldier, getting ready to retire. He's never saw himself as one to marry and have children.
Enter Faith, a widowed mother of one boy and an author. Her husband had a wild side and died many years ago. Faith's mother moved in to help raised her grandson
When Zander and Faith first meet at a coffee shop late at night. Faith sees Zander with tattoos and motorcycle. She immediately thinks he is a wild guy and not relationship material. Zander is immediately drawn to Faith but he still has six months left in the military. This is a wonderful romance with ups and downs and a little scare. No cliffhanger and an hea. Each book in the series gets better and better.
I received this arc in exchange for an honest review.
I think, however, that Zander's gradual change toward commitment felt more natural than Faith's. He felt more fleshed out. Still, it was a good read despite the missing words and editorial glitches.
I'll read more of her work. She writes an emotionally satisfying story.
