I thoroughly enjoyed Of Love and War and will be buying more work from this author.
Margaret Lake has written a tale that is set during World War Two. But this story could just as easily have been set during any war. In that respect, the lessons learned about relationships in this book are timeless and universal. The sexual tension between the characters was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Yet it was always tastefully handled.
The surprise ending was a masterful stroke.
I highly recommend this read.
So, if you need a romantic afternoon escape, you should definitely add this to your reading list!
For $.99 it was wonderful.
A young soldier who thinks he knows himself, a younger girl who had a crush on him, the Jersey shore.
Just read it.
