Love the Way You Kiss Me Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 1,389 ratings

From USA Today best-selling authors W. Winters and Amelia Wilde comes a sinful romance with a touch of dark and angst that will keep you gripping the edge of your seat...and begging for more.

I should have known when I couldn’t keep my eyes off her that this would be a mistake. I was hired to protect her, this woman who’s lost everything, yet there’s an obvious fire that blazes behind her beautiful gaze. She stares back, daring and tempting me. It calls to a side of me that’s darker and longs to tame her.

We both have secrets; we both have a past we’re not ready to face. More than that, we both want to get lost in each other, falling into a forbidden game of control and power. Of submission and dominance.

The moment she agrees to my terms, I know I’ve crossed a line. One of many rules I’m willing to break. No one can know, not a soul, but secrets in the life I lead never last for long.

⭐3.5⭐"Kiss Me" is the first book co written by Willow Winters and Amelia Wild. I wasn't expecting a book full of details and less of adrenaline. I don't know if Willow made me greedy with her stories. I felt that adrenaline in the last 10 pages.I enjoyed this book. I hope I can give 5 stars to this duet when the second book is released in July.Has a reader I will always tell you to read Willow's books.I loved Zander since the first page. He is so mysterious and careful with Ella. I see his soul loves her and he cares about her, but she is a client of "The Firm". As a character he is hot and makes my insides warm.Ella is so broken. My heart aches for her. I hope she can be what she was before everything went down in her life.I really love these two and I hope I can see more of their relationship in the second book. That ending killed my heart. I want more.I can't wait to read "Love The Way You Hold Me"

From Lala’s Book Reviews

This book has alternating POVs between the couple throughout the whole story and is filled with the darker aspects of romance where there is a healing give and take that helps the characters in a less traditional way.

Zander works for The Firm which is like a personal security type company where they are hired to watch over Ella in a less than traditional way given their line of work as Ella is being released from a mental health facility into their care.

All of the people assigned to Ella’s team have education into counseling and being able to watch for progress or declining signs in Ella and have cleaned her house to remove any triggers except for one particular wing in the house that was specifically asked not to be touched.

In the court room, where the judge was deciding whether or not to give The Firm custody of Ella to them, Zander was immediately drawn to her despite not reading her file that was given.

As they help Ella continue to go through her healing journey of accepting her emotions and grief, Zander realizes qualities in Ella that could help her healing journey in a different way than the more traditional routes of therapy, but with Zander’s method, lines would blur and in the end may cost him his job and hurt Ella even more if The Firm doesn’t let them continue what was started.

There’s also a lot of need for Zander to really hone into what Ella needs at any given moment as her and her deceased husband had started a relationship like the one that they are forming. It seems like even when Zander and Ella are doing well in their new relationship, something always comes up that makes the wonder if it’s the right thing.

Zander and Ella’s story is set up for heartbreak right from the get go. Zander is a bodyguard hired by a firm to protect Ella. The Firm is owned by his brother, they are to offer her 24/7 protection from herself as she’s tried to kill herself before and ended up in a mental hospital. So as Zander gets to know her, he thinks he knows a way to help her - a less than conventional approach. From the very beginning their attraction is off the charts, but can his brand of help truly help her, or only damage her further?! I can’t wait to find out in the next book what happens! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m stuck on “WOW” moment. I was so not expecting anything.
Relationship between Zander and Ella had many turns, many positive ones to get her go through things that happened in the past and conflicted with present. They just got this unexpected push from the very beginning that give them everything and more. Their dom/sub relationship for starters.

They might not drop the one thing I was thinking will happen; maybe even waiting for it but….I like it when unexpected and unpredictable things happen. Their story had those twists that it was so hard to put the book down even at 3am.

Also, Zander’s friendship/brotherhood with Damon got me some good laugh moments.
Can I say that I am MAD that book ended way too fast? Looks like Damon has interesting story to tell….
And Kam. His role in Elle’s life was definitely more important than I thought at the very beginning. This guy was definitely not what I expected.

This story just makes me say Wow. I should have known that when you put Willow Winters and Amelia Wilde writing a book 📚📖 together it will be awesome and erotic and a little dark at times but it kept me reading this rollercoaster book. We need to know who Kamden is and how he become conservator of her estate. Then there's the Firm Boss is Zander's brother and then there's Damon the psychiatrist and Zander's best friend and Silas and Caleb. They are a high security protection firm, they give full service protection for high profile clients. Zander's and Cade's mother passed away while he was a Freshman in college. There father died of cancer. There client Eleanor Bordeu was born into wealth. She's a beautiful young lady trying to transition from being institutionalized back to her home. The Firm is to give her 24 hour protection. So many questions in this story not enough answers but a lot of insinuations. Interesting, so interesting, I can't wait to read the next story in this duet.

While reading this book, I liked that it was a quick pace read. In this storyline, you will find some cat and mouse, some flirtation that will lead to desire, then much more! My only complaint about this book is, of course, there is a cliffhanger! Anyone who grew up in the 70's and 80's know what I mean about the dreaded cliffhanger and having to be patient when you are everything but patient!!!
I recommend this book for anyone who wants a good, quick paced spicey book that highlights D and S. This is also a good book for those who love to read a book series.

"We both have devastatingly traumatic experiences, and they're going to influence every thought, but we're never going to actually tell anyone what happened." The circle of Ella and Zander constantly referencing their pasts is tiring, especially when you're never given more than a hint of a detail of what happened to either of them (until the last few pages for Zander).

This was a great start to the Love The Way trilogy. I couldn't put this book down. For a while I didn't understand what was happening but as I read more it all started coming together. This book is mysterious, with hints of suspicion with a slow build up to steam but it's worth it.

Cannot wait to read the next two books to get to know more of Ella & Zanders back story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Angst filled and deliciously dreamy hero - pick it up!!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 25, 2021
Oh this book is so delicious and addicting.

Ella is going through a tough time and she’s really struggling so she hires a team to help transition and get herself on her feet. She takes a liking to Zander.

Zander. He’s so damn dreamy and the way he treats Ella just makes my heart melt. I can’t sum him up in another way. He’s just the one person who truly gets Ella. There’s rarely a book where I fall for them both instantly but this one definitely did that for me.

I’m not really surprised about the cliffhanger ending but I need the next one as soon as is possible. I hate waiting but the last book in this duet has to be worth it. Pick this story up. You. Will. Not. Regret. It.
