This book helped me so much. It made me become a new person because I started to LOVE myself and see myself in a way I have never done before.Through this book I learned what's really important in life: it's not being skinny but loving and accepting yourself. It takes you on a trip of change. It shows you step by step how you can change the way you look at yourself. I can only recommend this book to all of you out there who also punish themselves for the way their bodies look and who feel ugly. After reading this I finally arrived at the point where I can proudly say that I am also worth something no matter if I am big or thin!

As a health coach I deal with people most often who want to lose weight. We always address emotional, mental and spiritual issues as well as the physical habits. This excellent book by Anne-Sophie Reinhardt focuses on body image which is a critical and too often neglected piece of the puzzle.

No matter how much weight you lose, if you have an unhealthy body image, you will never be satisfied with how you look. Her 13 Radical Steps to Boost your Body Image are so deeply insightful and come from her own personal experience. These are things we would all benefit from considering. Step #4 is one I happen to call "acting as if" with my clients. If you try this exercise she suggests, you will see how effective it is. The bottom line for me is on page 22 - "the problem with diets is your mindset doesn't change." You can diet from now until forever but if you don't address these underlying issues we all deal with to some degree, you will never be truly at peace with yourself. Anne-Sophie suggests giving up dieting and beginning instead to nourish your body. To that I say a resounding: AMEN!

We are unique, valuable creations of God and if He fashioned us and calls us good, we owe it to ourselves to learn to love and appreciate ourselves as we are.

This is a truly valuable book we all need to read. This book will now be recommended reading for all my weight loss clients.

Through this book I have learned so many new ways to love myself.
It offers tips and tricks to love your body, because how you look is not important.
The book is an easy read, but implementing the chances is not always easy because it often requires a change in the way you think. In the end it is always worth it.

This book is very well written and very honest. It doesn't leave anything out, that I can think of, and this book will be a valuable tool in my toolbox to gaining health and keeping it. This book is one that you can go back to time and time again for little "boosters" for days when you are down on yourself, for whatever reason. Thank you so much Anne-Sophie for one, surviving anorexia and two; for writing this book to help all the rest of us who struggle with body image! Great Job

Often, we forget that we're the most important person in our life and we look after everyone but ourselves." This is a down to Earth book on the daily steps to treating yourself well.

Anne-Sophie is right on the money when she says feeling bad about yourself casts a shadow over all aspects of your life. The practical steps and guided exercises provide a straightforward way to move towards body acceptance and body love. This work is so important with the growing number of women and people suffering from eating disorders and body image issues. Empower yourself to love yourself in the now! Accept yourself exactly as you are in this moment! Don’t let another opportunity to fully embrace your life pass you by!
