I was feeling depressed and really down on my self. My relationship with my Boyfriend was not going the way I wanted it to. My anxiety levels was at an all time high. My life seemed to be at a complete standstill, and the more I thought about it the deeper down in the dumps of despair I sank. I knew I had to do something but I wasn't sure what to do. I was browsing self help books on Amazon and came across this book. I read the reviews but was skeptical about whether this would help me or not. I had purchased previous books and none of them seemed to help me or I only felt better temporarily.
I admit I purchased this book out of desperation.
Even as I read the first couple chapters I was still skeptical. Then by the time I got to the 8th chapter, It hit me. It wasn't that my life was out of order. Everything was perfect. The people in my life was not the problem. The problem was me. It was my negative thinking that was holding me back from having the good things in my life and being happy.
The author challanged me to change my thinking and to apply love in all areas of my life. I will admit Its not easy to change something that you have been doing all of your life. But with nothing to lose I decided to give it a shot and if I had gained nothing well, I will have lost nothing.
Its only been a few days since I purchased this book and my life has already improved dramatically. The biggest improvement is from within. I am not as anxious and stressed out as I was once. In fact I have always been naturally a very nervous person. However, I feel very relaxed and calm even at a very stressful and demanding job.
In addition, In only the few days I have applied the techniques here, good things has happened to me as far as my relationships go. Its as if my luck is changing and the tides are turning. My boyfriend is reaching out to me more without me even having to ask. People I felt I didn't get along with at work are actually being nice to me. I can even feel the kindness of strangers where I would have judged them before its as if good things are happening in all areas of my life.
Had I read the negative reviews here and passed this book up I would have missed out on what has been a life changing experience for me. All this has been within less than a week of applying what I read. I am now excited about my life and to see what else the New Year has to bring especially if I continue to apply the techniques in this book in the longterm. Like some have mentioned for me it was very difficult to make the transition to loving thoughts.
What helped me was to take a tape recorder and speak the actual positive affirmations into the recorder "I love myself" I release and let of all negative and non loving feelings" etc.. and then play back to myself on a continous loop. It sounds silly but for me it is helping me to let go of the non love feelings and replace them with loving thoughts and feelings and I feel like it is sinking down into my brain and it is finally catching on. I will update at the one month mark.
Particularly the exercises in chapter 14
I put them on a tape recorder
Now I have instant pain relief
I am physically stronger
My relationships are smoother
the book is intentionally repetitive so that we can learn the skill of releasing negativity
and being positive which attracts positive experiences in our lives
example for pain
repeat over and over I love the pain I love the pain
say yes to the pain say yes and yes and yes
then feel the pain in your chest or stomach
then open a window and release the energy of the pain
amazingly the pain is released and goes away.
This book is as empowering as it gets! So far as all of the 1 star reviews complaining about all of the repetition ... it is ALL simply part of an incredibly powerful technique (which probably makes more WAY more sense, if you have heard folks actually go through the process).
The simplicity of the technique, is nothing short of brilliant, and the book provides a direct method of "raising your vibration"... and bringing more joy into your life.
Definitely a "life changer".
