In Loveable, Kelly Flanagan artfully weaves spirituality, psychology, and personal narrative into a compelling invitation to believe the often unbelievable: each and every one of us is deeply beloved. Wise and encouraging, honest and inspirational, Loveable is a handbook for how to be human. (–Katherine Willis Pershey, Pastor and Author of Very Married: Field Notes on Love and Fidelity)
'Written like a love letter to his readers, Kelly quiets the noise of shame, while gently inviting us all to listen for another sound - the peaceful, playful, and powerful voice of Grace.' (–Aubrey Sampson, author of Overcomer: Breaking Down the Walls of Shame and Rebuilding Your Soul)
About the Author
Kelly is a licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of Artisan Clinical Associates in Naperville, IL. In 2012, he discovered writing was the thing he never knew he always wanted to do, so he began the now popular blog, UnTangled, where he writes weekly about the redemption of our personal, relational, and global lives. Kelly is married to another clinical psychologist named Kelly, because they decided to make life even more confusing than it already is. The Kellies—as they are called by friends and family—have three children, and they have a deal with them: they teach the kids how to grow up, and the kids teach them how to grow young.

(I received an advance copy of the book in order to write an honest review for the book's launch)
Loveable is a wonderful catalyst for deep conversations and a journey on a beautifully layed out path toward healing and redemption of hurts not yet fully uncovered or understood in a way that Kelly's sharing and vulnerability allows and provides.
Words that I will read again and I am sure again as well as share with others! ❤
Needless to say, I was thrilled to receive the invitation to preview a digital copy of this book. Loveable is an easy read, the words flow effortlessly, gracefully from one to another into chapters that build and grow upon each other, layer upon layer. I laughed, I cried, part of me died, part of me came alive.
As I read the book, I kept feeling the sense that I wasn't reading it alone. I kept having images of a little me, when I was a kid, sitting next to me reading too. I've done a lot of inner child work, some of it heartbreakingly difficult, and to experience my inner child enjoying this book with me, coming along for the ride, was love and grace in action. It was cathartic. Funny thing is, I kept feeling like this book was more for ME - the adult version of me, than it was for the little girl in me. It was as if she already knew I'm loveable, she was there to remind ME, and to experience the journey of love awakening in ME, not the other way around.
It was wonderful to get to know Dr. Flanagan more intimately through his personal stories and reflections weaved throughout the book that are not shared on his blog. I felt a deeper connection and appreciation for him as I did for myself and all of humanity.
This book reminds you that you're enough - just as you are. It takes the love you have buried inside you and shines a light on it, amplifies it so by the time you're finished reading the book, your heart is open, light and beating powerfully. You feel a divine connection to humanity and empathize with the often unspoken, internal struggle of each person as they strive so hard to be loveable in this world. And you just want to shake them and shout it from the rooftops: you already ARE loveable!
Read this book and experience the love for yourself.
This book will be enriching for parents, teachers, pastors, counselors and all committed travelers on the road of life! Give yourself the gift of this book; in the process, you will discover again your own worthiness, belonging and purpose. It is a blessing not to be missed!
