I thoroughly enjoyed Loved You Once, and I am looking forward to reading the remaining books in the series. Claudia Burgoa shows that she is an amazing storyteller and has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in Loved You Once, they feel like family! Loved You Once filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, I could not put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I love how Claudia Burgoa always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy men. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Loved You Once is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments that I have come to love and expect in Claudia Burgoa love story, and she did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Loved You Once is a second chance love story between former lovers Blaire Wilson, physician assistant and founder of Carter’s Kids Foundation, and Hayes Aldridge renown orthopedic surgeon. Following the death of William Tower Aldridge and in accordance with his will, his six surviving sons Henry, Hayes, Pierce, Mills, Vance, and Beacon, and Blaire the wife of the late Carter must move to Baker’s Creek, Oregon for the next eighteen months to inherit William’s fortune. They cannot leave Baker’s Creek for the first six months, and they can leave for work for the following twelve months. Most of the Aldridge sons were the result of affairs that William had while married to Hayes and Carter’s mother, Cassandra. Blaire and Hayes have not seen each other in twelve years, when Hayes decided to change his plans and head to Maryland to attend Johns Hopkins Medical School instead of staying in California and closer to Blaire. They met when Blaire was moving into her dorm room, which was across the hall from Carter. Carter and Blaire became best friends, but Blaire and Hayes fell in love. Hayes must convince everyone to give up their lives and move to Baker’s Creek for the next eighteen months. I love all the things that Hayes does for Blaire and his brothers to get them to move to Baker’s Creek. A surprise plot twist changes things between them. I love how everything gets resolved between them. I love all the donations that the Aldridge brothers make to Carter’s Kids Foundation, which helps Blaire hire additional staff to keep her dream alive. I love the changes that Hayes, and Blaire make in their lives to have a life with one another. My favorite part is the epilogue, especially with Hayes’s proposal and the surprise that is revealed. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Loved You Once, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Aldridge brothers, the characters feel like family and friends, I especially love their teasing that made me laugh. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Loved You Once, who does not love a second chance love story? Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

I loved this book! There is just so much... I don't even know where or how to begin reviewing this...

William Aldridge was--what we would call in more modern terms--a manw#0re. He married one woman, with whom he had two sons, but proceeded to have multiple affairs resulting in five more sons. Each of his sons has his own wealth--not including their $10-billion inheritances--so when William dies, none of them really cares about his estate. That is until William throws a crazy twist into his will--unless his surviving children (and their families) move back to the small town in Oregon that the Aldridges founded, the town and its inhabitants would suffer greatly.

These men had no relationships with each other. Besides a few forced summers together when they were children, they didn't really know each other; to say they were estranged would be an understatement.

On top of all of this, throw in Blaire Wilson...ex-girlfriend of Hayes Aldridge...widow of Carter Aldridge, Hayes full-blooded younger brother. Uh-huh...you read that right!

I love stories where things aren't exactly what they seem. I also love stories with damaged/broken/bad boys. In this story (and the ensuing series), I get six! [**SIGH**]

I think I'm going to enjoy this series! (And I just want to mention that I saw the couple for the next book before I got to end of this one. I actually see two others, but I'll let you know if I'm right when we get there.)

Blair didn’t know why she needed to go to Baker’s creek after her late husband’s father died, she didn’t want to see any of the brother’s again, particularly Hayes who broke her heart.
The only thing she could focus was if there was any money left to her it would help her continue to help others.
Hayes never forgot Blair his one love, the one he never got over, but he pushed her away and she married his brother. He didn’t know that she was coming to Baker’s Creek when they all had to be there for his late father’s idea of controlling them one last time, but now that she was and he found out the real reason she married his brother he’s going to do everything to show her why she loved him before and could again.

I have to admit, in the beginning I thought this book was a little too slow for me but I quickly realized...attention to details matter. Plus, when you're introducing many characters, it's nice to take it slow so we get to know each one.

Loved Blaire, she certainly had the feel of a family therapist with the way she handled Hayes. She's a strong independent woman who has one soft spot, and one look from him has her melting where she stood.

Hayes always loved Blaire. There's never been anyone else. He just felt they were too young in college to become so serious and he had a future to plan. Now he wants to win her back regardless of her walls and shields. He'll take them on one at a time until he wins her over.

Great read, lots of family drama and how they have to come together to fulfill their father's will or a whole town's future can be at stake.

Blaire and Hayes have history and wow it's not all great. His father was really a sperm donor and now that he has passed is still trying to control Hayes and his half brothers. Blaire gets pulled back into the family by marriage. It wasn't Hayes she had married though and that still hurts him. The story has humor, angst, hurt, and romance. Definitely a book that makes me feel the need to read more about this family.

Blaire was sweet, honest and forgiving, and I loved how she didn't play games and was just straightforward with Hayes, even about her fears. I loved Hayes' bravery in putting himself out there, both with Blaire and with his brothers. There was no doubting his love, passion and devotion for Blaire, and his regret about the past, and his determination to pull his family together.

This story was humorous, romantic, and complex with family ties and undercurrents. I'm so excited for this whole series and the books to come!

I do not want to separate these books because each and every one has been brilliantly written but their stories are interwoven. I have read all the books in this series and ordered the last ones - please read them in order - I cannot praise them enough. Start reading Loved You Once you will not be disappointed as the stories just build and build, the leading brothers characters are believable and loveable along with the strong women in their lives. The shear number of characters, family good and evil, and interesting cast of extended family, friends make this compulsive reading. Claudia Burgoa is now definitely one of my favourite authors. (But nothing prepared me for Beacons story!!)

The father of several males (different moms) dies and in his will he stipulates that all his adult children have to live together for 18 months or everything is sold off and given to charity. The adults are all successful in their own right and are resistant to the conditions of the will. However when the brothers realise that the livelihood of many of the townsfolk is at stake they start to try to work together. This can be read as a stand alone but it also seems like a good start to a series.
I enjoyed this book it has a plethora of different characters in it that are colourful, interesting and funny; I will probably read the rest of the brothers stories.
