I have been hooked on Torie & Howard's Fruity Chewies here on Amazon ever since my dad put me on to it. So I came across this brand and figured I would give it a shot, as it has different flavors than what Fruity Chewies offer.
Packaging is nice, but the wrappers on the chews are fairly difficult to remove compared to similar candies. You really have to pick at it for a bit before they finally open up. Fortunately, the wrapper doesn't stick to the candy, but would definitely be better if it was easier to open. Perhaps it is a dieting incentive so you can't gorge on them, quickly lol.
Now the decision making comes from the texture and flavor. First off, texture is just a little bit off of what star burst would be. T&H is closer to that, but just a hint. Now the flavor is very unlike a star burst. It is quite mild. Now that is not to say it is a bad thing, but if you are looking for an intense juicy flavor, this is not for you. You would want the T&H fruity chewies, which in my opinion are better than star bursts.
As you can tell, I am comparing them to star burst, because to me that is the taste and texture I am looking for. If I put that comparison aside, it is mildly sweet, and tastes of the fruits it is supposed to be. In fact, it has little chunks of fruit in them. Ingredients are pretty much all natural, but it isn't organic (like T&H), nor does it have vitamin C added (like T&H).
So it is not a bad candy, but it isn't something I would go out to buy either. For my taste, it is just too mild for what I look for in a candy, which is the exaggeration of the flavor.
