Welcome to book 1 of the McCade Brothers series! I adore all my books equally, but here's a short list of the special things I love about Lover Undercover:
1) the scene where my heroine, reluctant temporary stripper, Kylie first sets eyes on my hero, hot homicide detective Trevor McCade:
Despite the packed house, her gaze snagged on one man. Double-take goregeous in a tall, dark and dangerous way, his broad-shouldered, athletic build gave him presence even in the crowded club. But it wasn't his looks that caught her attention. It was his stillness. In a sea of rowdy guys, he was an island of cool, collected calmness.
Dark, seen-it-all eyes locked on hers. Recognition--one observer to another. The other men looked at her, but this man saw her.
2) Trevor's cocky partner, Detective Ian Ford and how he handles Kylie's identical twin Stacy:
"Don't worry when you can't clear me out of your head. Just pick up the phone. I'll be waiting." His footsteps echoed along the floorboards as he crossed to the door.
"You'll die waiting," Stacy yelled.
"I'll die laughing," he shot back.
"Get ouuuut!" A crash sounded against the far wall, which meant Stacy had sacrificed something breakable to make her point.
"Gotta work on that temper," he chided. "I know it's tough on you, not getting exactly what you want, exactly when you want it."
3) Trevor's Magic Mike moment. (Don't forget to read the epilogue)!
