In Love's Hope we find Sandra James, owner of a successful café, a steady boyfriend Alonso, and the best friend anyone could have, Bruce. But all is not as it should be nor as wonderful as it seems. The boyfriend will not commit to marriage, her engaged sister's pregnant with twins and Sandra's in charge of the wedding, plus her café is not as satisfying as it once was. Her friend, Serafine, owns Love Never Fails Retreat, a faith based retreat for women. Will Sandra find the answers and solutions she needs. My inspirational romance book review of Love's Hope follows.
CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:
Ja'Nese Dixon created a wonderful look into a life filled with dissatisfaction and lack of purpose. A sweet clean book, with romance and life choices. I enjoyed watching Sandra come to terms with the reasons for her dissatisfaction. Viewing life in an intense retreat environment's wonderful; I found Serafine particularly loving, possessing a deep faith, and a talent for counseling.
Sandra's thought she had deep faith in God. Through scripture, counseling, and friendship, Sandra finds the reason for her dissatisfaction is not what she thought. Even though she's dealing with emotions of jealousy and lack of purpose, through the retreat, Sandra realizes and begins the resolution of her issues.
Bruce is a wonderful character, waiting patiently in the wings for Sandra to realize he is not just friend material, but a life partner material. Will Sandra's eyes ever open to the potential which is right in front of her? You will have to read the book to find out. Although a faith-based book, Ja'Nese does not push religion on the reader, rather she created a wonderful story highlighting a purpose driven life through God. I found the pace of the book steady, the writing clear and easy to follow, and pacing in line with the length of the book. I highly recommend this book and would not hesitate to buy this book for my self or a friend,
LOVE'S HOPE RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4
FINALLY, PLEASE NOTE;
In addition, I received this book from the author. I chose to voluntarily review the book with an honest inspirational romance book review. Lastly, book reviews of any novel are dependent on the book review author’s opinion. Consequently, all book reviews on-line and under my name, are my opinions. No one influenced my voluntary inspirational romance book review of Love's Hope.
I loved the characters and thought Sandra was amazing. It's nice to read about a person you can identify with, who is going through real issues we may have faced at one point or another. It was good to see the connections made. It uplifted me in a magical way. I love a feel good, heart warming romance and definitely appreciated the way this author brought everything to life. I loved the book so much I decided I simply had to grab the paperback too, to keep on my bookshelf brimming with books I love the most. Of course I have the other books in the series too.
As with every book Ja'nese writes you can expect perfection, amazing quality work, a story that will stay with you, and memorable characters. Thanks for a great story 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 it's a resounding five stars from me ✨✨✨✨✨
Dixon uses her characters to bring Loves Hope to life through a woman’s week long retreat. I couldn’t put the book down. I haven’t read the first book in the series, but was able to follow this story just fine without reading the previous one. If you are looking for a good Christian read, I recommend this book. Due to adult complex situations that maybe frightening to younger readers, I recommend for readers 15 and above.
