A little bit of everything.....happy, funny, mysterious, sad, tearjerker.....all around feel good book!
I could picture myself on Sunset Bay, with all the characters; sounds like a nice place to live,
where every one knows everyone and then this stranger moves to town.....intrigue!
Loving Matt is a sweet contemporary small-town romance novel that ticks all the check marks. A hero with a broken heart that rocks his world. A courageous heroine with her share of mistakes and losses. A too-cute kid that will make you want to give him a hug. Throw in a hint of danger and you've got the perfect mix.
Good job, Ms. Lynch! Can't wait to read what's next!
The story centers around Matt Copeland, a widower and former detective, with a six year old boy . Matt has decided to move away from the city that holds too many painful memories. He also hopes that the move will help his son get back to being a boy again, and not a shell of his former self. He puts an ad in the Sunset Bay newspaper searching for a house with a yard. An ad that realtor, Chelsea Abbott reads. She feels she needs to help these two find that house. The perfect house is one she knows well.
Matt has closed himself off to life , love and anything that he feels could hurt him or his son. Chelsea , who has also had her losses, just wants them to be happy.
This is a story that while heartbreaking , it is also heartwarming. It is a story about hope, and second chances, about opening your heart again so you can experience the wonders of love and life as well as a story that reminds us that though life can throw us many curveballs, with the support of friends, and in this case a woman and a village, life if full of promise.
Definitely a story you will remember and one I hope is the beginning of a new series.
