Product Description

Lucas Red 'N' Tacky Grease is a smooth, tacky, red lithium complex grease fortified with rust and oxidation inhibitors. It has good water resistance and washout properties. It has excellent mechanical stability and storage life. It is able to withstand heavy loads for extended periods of time. It can be used in many agricultural, automotive and industrial applications. Lucas Red 'N' Tacky Grease is fortified with a high degree of extreme pressure additives that give it a true timken load much higher than other greases of this type. It's especially good for sliding surfaces and open gears.

This grease exhibited a high degree of oil separation just sitting in the garage (which is under 60 degrees all year). The tube left an oil puddle anywhere it was put, whether standing up or laying down. None of the other brands of grease stored next to it leaked. If you store this grease in a grease gun, the pressure will make it leak even faster.

This stuff separates and makes a mess. Red oil leaks out of the grease gun over time making a mess.

Stays put and doesn't get flung all over the place. I use it for lubricating O scale locomotives (model trains) and it works great. Best lube I've found so far. Just use a toothpick or small screwdriver to place a small dab of lube on the gears. It don't take much... don't over do it. You'll notice the engines run smoother and even a bit quieter after a few minutes of run time.

I'm using this to grease the wheel bearings on my 5th wheel. They pack through a Zerk fitting, and the red color allows me to know when all the old grease has been pushed through the bearings.

Next time, I'll switch to the Lucas Heavy Duty (Green), and be able to do the same thing, alternating colors each time I grease the bearing.

This stuff is great and works amazingly. This will be the only stuff I use when I need grease... The reason I won't give it a 5 star is the leaking of the red grease oil out of my grease gun. I have to leave it in a bag year round no matter what the temperature! I use this to do brake jobs and greasing the 4x4 on my Ram

This is a great grease for the equipment used in our shop. I have used white grease before, and it doesn't seem to last as long or "stick" to the components being greased. As it says in the name, this grease is quite tacky, and will not freely run off of whatever it is pumped into or on to.

I like Red 'N' Tacky because it does a great job of staying put. I feel it's a quality product. As far as it being the best in the world...I don't know because that would take a scientist to decide that. It's my choice of what's out there.
