As both a student and a teacher of lucid dreaming, I happily recommend this 2-volume set. Many of the contributors have a strong academic (left brain) bent and I would not necessarily recommend this collection to someone who is new to the topic. However, these academic contributions are well balanced by other articles that offer more of a creative or spiritually oriented perspective. For those interested in going deeper in their study of lucid dreaming, this is an incredibly valuable resource. From the end notes of the various contributions, I've collected dozens of additional books or articles that I would like to digest. I was pleased to become acquainted with many new (at least to me) teachers and approaches to lucid dreaming, especially Clare Johnson (Creative Dimensions of Lucid Dreaming) and Mary Ziemer (Lucid Surrender). I was also pleased to read updates from some familiar voices in the lucid dreaming community, including Scott Sparrow, Kenneth Kelzer and Fariba Bogzaran. Thank you Ryan and Kelly for your work in editing and orchestrating this gift to the community of dreamers.
