Bea and Ash - 4 stars
This review is for the first book in the compilation - Always You by Joanne Dannon.
This is listed as a prequel to another book, that has been out almost 2 years now, but to me, I think it is more of a sequel. Bea happens to be the younger sister of Nate from Falling for Mr. Wrong. The main thing I loved the most about this story was the location and how well Ms. Dannon described it. I also enjoyed learning about LifeWorks and how they help people. Definitely looking forward to reading the other books in the compilation.

SWEPT AWAY by Amy L Gale
Callie was on a girl's vacation in Hawaii with her friend. Girl's only. That was her plan after leaving her cheating fiance. Best laid plans did not include meeting surfing champ Lucas. A meeting to remember. And he wasn't what she'd planned either.
THE LAST GOODBYE by Tee Smith
Teenaged Cora's boyfriend left with no message. He was just gone. She mourned for him, hearing nothing and unable to find him. Each year she went to their special place and wrote a letter to him. She poured out her pain of loss and that she still missed him. While she moved on, she never stopped loving him.
What happened? Why did he leave? Would she ever find happiness?
Not your usual romance.
Reviewed for Words Turn Me On.
Beth sees Mr. Dark & Delicious at a party on New Years Eve. Both have noticed eachother and sparks have ignited. While Beth is busy trying to talk herself out of making yet another mistake , Mr. DD is busy trying to get to Beth.
What follows is an intensely sexual weekend that begins like a sexy fairytale..
Beth and Mr. DD's chemistry is combustible and truly enjoyable.
I found this a fun and sexy read that I did not want to end. (so much so I wrote the author a message and begged for more!)
All of the stories in this collection are beautifully written and the authors should be proud of their part in this charity anthology.
Rocking Between the Sheets basically left me wanting more. It was a hint at a new story coming out about a rock star and a romance writer. It had me intrigued enough that I signed up for the author's newsletter so I would know when the rest of the book was available. I definitely want to know what comes of Cayson and Kayla!
Burn for you is the sequel to By my Side. I didn't read By My Side but that was okay because Burn For You was written well enough that I wasn't confused. It was a great read though on the perspective of a musician who just doesn't want the life of a rock star. He just wants a simple life with the woman he loves. You don't always see that and it was nice getting that perspective.
Both great reads and both great authors that I look forward to reading more from.
I really enjoyed this short and sweet second chance romance filled with forgiveness and new beginnings.
Having commitment issues myself, I really related to Bea, and Ash’s ongoing tendency to forgive Bea had me in tears. It was also refreshing to have the female lead be the reformed party girl instead of the opposite which I have read so many times. I found it empowering as Bea moved on from her past filled with bad decisions without fixating on her regrets, and Ash’s support is just what she needed to continue on her path of recovery.
I strongly suggest snatching up this prequel as well as the rest of the series by Joanne Dannon!
Now I am excited to read the other stories in this boxed set!
Always You - Joann Dannon is a sweet second chance romance. I got a little frustrated with Ash at times in this story. I felt like he wasn't willing to compromise at all and wanted Bea to make all the sacrifices, but then I take into consideration that Bea has rejected him before so I can u derstand why he'd want to be sure that she was all in this time.
Wonderful compilation of short sweet books to fill a lunch break or Doctors office visit.
