I really am glad that these books are becoming available through the Kindle, as the long out-of-print copies, especially if you want them new can cost a freaking ton of money. A really charming slice-of-life series of manga (comic style) books center mainly on four high school girls named Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa and Miyuki. Each have their very own and distinctive personalities and are really fun characters to follow in their day-to-day lives. I was originally introduced to this series though the anime by the same name. In all honesty I've not had much exposure to anime and manga, so I can't really compare this to much other genres of manga, but if you like slice-of-life comedy, I certainly feel I can recommend them.

It's the Life of Schoolgirls. Th-That's about it. Because of this, there's nothing Bad about it. Albeit, it does feel Eerily Similar to Azumanga Daioh, but I'm not Complaining. I freaking loved Azumanga. Think of it as the Spiritual Successor to it. But in any Case, it Delivers what it promises. The life of Schoolgirls. Yeah, I haven't got too much to say on this. It's kinda Hard when there's no plot. Eh, Maybe just think of it as Seinfeld. Or Louie. Just with School Girls. If you enjoy Comedy Manga, this is a Must, but if you're looking for Something Really deep or Emotional, maybe try something else.

I watched the anime first, but when I saw this at such a great price I had to order it. It actually had a few pages I hadn't seen in the anime, which was pleasing to read, and it was very fun to read, because if you're a fan of the anime you can pretty much imagine their voices when reading, which makes it even better.
It took about a week to get the manga, and it was worth every penny! ^_^

Lucky Star is a fun series about 4 high school girls (and occasionally others) as they live their lives. There is nothing special, just a bunch of high schooler students balancing their social, family, and school lives, all inter cut with comedy about pop culture, social commentary, and the best way to eat chocolate-filled pastries.
