Was insane so many secrets revealed, betrayal and heartbreaking decisions. This addition to the undraland saga starts where Lucy at peace ended with Lucy and Jaimie having been given to the last sirens by Tucker, they are now stuck chained up in solitary cells. That is just the beginning as their torture continues they are starved, electrocuted and their brains so twisted from mental torture that the will to live is a notion that is slowly dying as the choice to die becomes the safer option.
I don't want to reveal to much because it's so squeal worthy when the revelations come to light....
I will say though because it's a long time coming that the love triangle that is Foss, Jens and Lucy is very different in this book than the others. I was disappointed in Foss's behavior I know how mean he can be but generally when Lucy needs him he is there,
but in this one he shuns a partially insane, emaciated Lucy instead of comforting. GRRRR.... It drove me crazy. I know hat the triangle had to broken up at some point but I won't lie I love Foss. If your like me Jens has been a seesaw of emotions as time and again he has hurt Lucy by not manning up, he finally does. Jens has learned what it is to live without Lucy and he is now being the man she deserves.
The goodbye will make you tear up or at lest it made me.
“Of all the things I want, for you to be sorry is not one of them. I don’t need you to regret me. I don’t regret having you.”
Loved the conflict with Lucy. Jamie now helping instead of hurting.
Each book is unique and full of action.
I would recommend this series to everyone. But start with the first one.
