Note: Luke’s Absolution is the third in the Calloway Brothers Series and is a standalone that can be read independently of the prior two books. This reader recommends, however that you read them ALL and in order ;) No major spoilers are given to the prior stories, but come on – you have to read in order. (Is my OCD showing?)

From the moment I started book one, I knew one thing. I needed Luke’s book. His story. I needed to spend time with him and love him and just be in his presence. He was that captivating of a character. He was mysterious. A bad boy who really was just a damaged good guy who had suffered his choices and some that were completely out of his control. You know from his actions in Gray, that he was redeeming. That he was worthy.

LA brings us the story of Luke and Addy. A woman he knows is too good, too clean for him, but one he can’t deny himself. Once Luke makes the decision to go after what he wants, he’ll stop at absolutely nothing until he makes her his.

For Addy, falling for the wrong guy is a common complication. But for the first time, she’s fighting her pull towards the tattooed-leather wearing kind of man. The only problem? Luke Calloway is making himself pretty irresistible and ensuring that she doesn’t forget the promise he made to her the night of Gray’s wedding. I won’t go into the story at all for this review, you just need to take my word for it that this is worth the read.

Soooo. Can I just say how smoking hot this was? Before I get to the amazing writing, let’s just tackle the smoldering aspect of this story.

Luke. Colloway.

Jeezus did that man know how to take care of his woman. Toss in his struggle with his past, his choices and the stains he can’t seem to clean off. This girl was sold.

Addy Monroe is no stranger to heartbreak. There’s no way that she’s going to go through that again and especially with Luke Colloway!

She’s carried an image of him in the back of her mind for over ten years and he’s been the man that she has measured all others against. He’s darkly beautiful, dangerous and WAY out of her league.

So when she finds out that he’s now her new roommate – she’s more determined than ever to protect herself from becoming just another one of his infamous conquests.

Luke Colloway just watched the woman that he loved marry his twin brother. It doesn’t hurt as much as he thought it would and the reason for that is now living right under his roof.

Addy has always been a pure light to his endless oblivion and there’s no way someone like him could ever deserve her love. But if there’s one thing that he’s sure about it’s that nothing ever works out they way that you planned and that he’s literally going move heaven and hell to become the man that she needs.

Luke is now my favourite of the Colloway brothers! He doesn’t pull his punches and goes for what he wants. He’s a man who is not afraid to lay his soul bare to his girl – and THAT is what sets him apart.

His story was an emotionally charged arrow straight to the heart and K.L. Krieg made it hurt really good…

Oh boy, the brother's just keep getting better! KL Kreig doesn't disappoint with the creation of Luke Colloway. He has a dark past. It is hard for him to open up and let anyone into his life. We get a hint of Luke's difficult past in Forsaking Grey and it seems almost impossible for him to overcome his memories and regrets. They run deep in his soul. There were so many heart wrenching surprises and twists in this book... Will Luke find absolution in his quest for redemption? This book was so well written I can not wait to see what is in store for the final brother Connelly!

I will read anything you write. K.L. Krieg.
It is on KU. I am a KU subscriber. I bought the books anyway. One Click.
Your next one really can't come fast enough!
You write words that connect characters together so well, you actually feel it in the pit of your stomach when they get butterflies.
I remember opening one chapter and literally feeling like I was on a roller coaster ...thinking...let's go!
I am a big fan of this series, and I would say that Luke is one of my favorites out of the clan. I think he may have fell the hardest.
The heroine...she was feisty and had great character growth as well.
I literally can't wait until the next in the series!

Luke’s Absolution (The Colloway Brothers #3) by KL Kreig
4.5 stars!!!

“You’re my color.”

Ever since I stumbled on this series and this author I have been itching for Luke’s book. While Gray and Asher have both had their moment in the limelight, finally it was Luke’s turn. While this book can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the series in order. Luke first appears in book one and is quite pivotal in Forsaking Gray and by reading that book it would give you a great insight into Luke.

“I need all the absolution I can get and on a very regular basis. I have so many sins to atone for, I could go to church daily and it still wouldn’t be enough. It will never be enough.”

I knew Luke’s story was going to be hard, he was an enigma, he held his cards and emotions close to his chest, he had a lot of demons, but under all that “gloom” was a heck of a lot of “bright” even if he couldn’t see it himself. When we first met Luke in Forsaking Gray you could tell he was a good man, he was self-sacrificing, he knew right from wrong even if the lines blurred a little, but you knew he had a huge heart, it was just a shame he kept it under lock and key. One thing Luke deserved the most was to love and be loved, he just need to believe that himself.

“…not with a man like me who has so may effing ghosts in his closet, I’m surprised people can’t hear them howling.”

Addy was a woman that had her own issues too, everyone she loves leaves. She has been let down by every man she has opened her heart to, so her outlook on love is pretty bleak. While she knows deep down she wants it all…marriage, kids etc. she knows that that kind of love is hard to find in the ever present sea of sharks.
