There has been bad blood between neighboring ranchers Henry Kelly and Owen O'Brien all Meg O'Brien and Luke Kelly's lives. Luke Kelly has returned to the O'Brien ranch to heal. He left 5 years ago after a blow out fight with his father over his interest in Meg O'Brien. Meg is not happy that her father invited Luke to the Ranch to stay. He broke her heart when he left 5 years ago and she has closed herself off since. She is now the Foreman on her father's ranch and she is going to make Luke earn his keep. Slowly Luke and Meg rebuild their friendship and her heart starts to thaw towards the man who says he always loved her. Luke's return triggers events that bring long held secrets and lies to the surface. It all stated with a long ago affair. A lot of twist and turns in this story. While things looked bleak for Luke and Meg for a while they get their happy ever after in the end.
