Author Belvin gives a well-put thought, "Where was the line in the sand when you say you love the Lord? (page 26)." I pondered on these words for quite some time, also thought of Jesus drawing a line in the sand when the accusers were present with the woman who committed adultery.
James was the club-owner, business-entrepreneur, who chose to live his life without Christ (he was neither hot or lukewarm, but COLD). Yet when trouble came his way, he did call on his two best friends: Kevin and Richard to bail him out. Kevin knew that Richard had the resources and connections to truly help James, but left some things unanswered for me in this novel; presuming another one is coming forth in the future.
Kevin was the lady's man and messing with the wrong women some would say--married ones! He was following the footsteps of his grandfather who lost his life due to his cheating ways...will this happen to Kevin as well. Will he take heed to the warnings given by his mother, grandmother, and even his friend Richard.
I enjoyed the book the best at the end....and wondering if this was a cliff-hanger or just the hook that drew me in the most.
