There were some grammatical errors and editorial gaffes in this book that is not encountered in her earlier work which is why I couldn't give it a full 5 stars.
Still, they were not bad enough to stop me from wanting to read more.
I'm still reeling over the outcome of Angie's investigations. I didn't expect the situation with her job to go as it did, especially as she was the main protagonist. I was shocked, too, but not unpleasantly, that Ms. White didn't make everything better at the end. And I'm so intrigued with Kjel. I can't wait for more of his background to be revealed.
And for Constable Leo to get his comeuppance.
Over all a great series and I can’t wait for the next book.
That won't stop me from reading the third installment when it comes out, because despite her flaws the heroine is growing on me. And of course I adore the hero.
She also creates strong male characters able to handle her female characters by making them seem vulnerable at times.
