Please note there were no issues or concerns at all with Amazon.
Luminox advertisement states "requested and supplied to the US NAVY SEALs". I do know firsthand the SEAL Teams would not accept equipment failures such as those described. A warranty means very little when a piece of equipment fails on a mission.
Maybe I got a bad watch or maybe I purchased the wrong watch. I suspect "real" SEALs choose other watches.
I had the watch about 1 month, and the date started skipping forward. One and two days at a time. Dealer thought I was nuts. He would reset it and send me on my way. After 3 times of that, I sent the watch to Saltzman's Repair back east, the Luminox Warranty Center.
I sent a detailed letter with the watch. So what did they do? Just reset it, and sent it back. 3 days later, it skipped another date. Took it back to the dealer and demanded a new watch. He contacted the Luminox sales rep, and 5 weeks later I had a new watch. That was a couple months ago. Now yesterday, May 9th, the new one skipped again! One more time, I'm taking it back again. Sad too, as I really do love the watch.... I also read another owner on Cabela's (just Google Cabelas Luminox skipping dates) had the same problem with a different model but same series Luminox. So beware.
Update; May 30th Watch just lost 4 minutes today. Was keeping perfect time until now. Took it back to the Jewelry Store, they are going to contact the Luninox Rep to see what he says. These are Swiss movements and this should not be happening, but obviously this series of watch is having issues. Dealer said they would refund my $$$, but I really just want a watch that works... I just hope Luminox stands by their product. Will update later....
Update; November 2013.... Luminox supplied a third watch, this one is now over 4 months old, with no problems. Hopefully three's a charm, as I really do love this watch. Thanks Luminox, for sticking with it....
Update; April 2014.... Looks like it's going to be OK. 10 months old, and it keeps great time.
Update; May 2014.... Watch skipped date again!Read more ›
There is also a design flaw on the crown (that is used to pull out to adjust the time and date) it pops out too easily and does not screw into place when not in use (like other watches). As a military man myself, I know how easily it is to get caught on random things, and if you inadvertently pull the crown out, now your time has stopped. Not useful for "NAVY Seals" or anyone else for that matter.
On the plus side, the tritium dials and still glowing, probably because they aren't actually made by Luminox.
I'll try and post back if they at least honour the warranty, but I would not recommend Luminox to anyone.

Great looking watch, especially for $126.99 shipped. My only concern is my last luminox watch was a piece of s***. Broke 2 times in 3 years. I'm hoping this one is better.Published 19 days ago by Martin smith
Works as advertised. Dot at 12 is not constantly illuminated, glows ok though. All rubber bands will crack and break eventually.Published 2 months ago by Pen Name
I purchased my 0201 BO because I loved the black style and love the tritium inserts. They are lined up at the 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Joshua M.
