I have had this watch for 2 months and it leaks like a screen door ... very disappointed. It has not been below depths of more then 5 feet. Luminox your quality control testing has a long way to go. Back to G Shock

I purchased a Luminox Sentry Watch (0200 Series A.0201.BO) on 11/17/2011. On 12/7/2011 I sent the watch to the authorized Luminox Repair Center (Saltzman's Watches & More, Inc) due to condensation within the watch face and inaccurate time keeping. During that period I had only showered with the watch and swam for about an hour at no greater than 5 feet. The watch was repaired (no cost) under warranty and returned to me on 12/23/2011. On 12/31/2011 the Crown Knob fell off and the watch stopped keeping time.

Please note there were no issues or concerns at all with Amazon.

Luminox advertisement states "requested and supplied to the US NAVY SEALs". I do know firsthand the SEAL Teams would not accept equipment failures such as those described. A warranty means very little when a piece of equipment fails on a mission.

Maybe I got a bad watch or maybe I purchased the wrong watch. I suspect "real" SEALs choose other watches.

First let me say, I absolutely love this watch. Extremely good looking. Quality appears to be first rate. But....

I had the watch about 1 month, and the date started skipping forward. One and two days at a time. Dealer thought I was nuts. He would reset it and send me on my way. After 3 times of that, I sent the watch to Saltzman's Repair back east, the Luminox Warranty Center.
I sent a detailed letter with the watch. So what did they do? Just reset it, and sent it back. 3 days later, it skipped another date. Took it back to the dealer and demanded a new watch. He contacted the Luminox sales rep, and 5 weeks later I had a new watch. That was a couple months ago. Now yesterday, May 9th, the new one skipped again! One more time, I'm taking it back again. Sad too, as I really do love the watch.... I also read another owner on Cabela's (just Google Cabelas Luminox skipping dates) had the same problem with a different model but same series Luminox. So beware.

Update; May 30th Watch just lost 4 minutes today. Was keeping perfect time until now. Took it back to the Jewelry Store, they are going to contact the Luninox Rep to see what he says. These are Swiss movements and this should not be happening, but obviously this series of watch is having issues. Dealer said they would refund my $$$, but I really just want a watch that works... I just hope Luminox stands by their product. Will update later....

Update; November 2013.... Luminox supplied a third watch, this one is now over 4 months old, with no problems. Hopefully three's a charm, as I really do love this watch. Thanks Luminox, for sticking with it....

Update; April 2014.... Looks like it's going to be OK. 10 months old, and it keeps great time.

Update; May 2014.... Watch skipped date again!

Great watch. Comfortable, light weight, looks great (in daylight and in the dark) and well constructed. This watch is a nice size also not too big and not too small it's juuust right. Don't buy this watch though I would hate to see too many of these out there.

six months later, the date doesn't work. one year later, I have spent more on watch bands than I think I bought the damn thing for. NOT typical Luminox quality. I actually took mine to a jeweler to see if I bought a fake. Yep, that bad. Have moved on to Casio G-shock. Waiting to give it a review after its been through the ringer. May never purchase another Luminox item (this was my 4th from them, quite possibly the last)

Beautiful watch, easy to set up, solid feel, super high quality. My days of needing a Diver's watch are over, but that same quality is still obvious in this watch, it feels good and looks good. For $139 it is a great deal. I don't wear jewelry, but I've always loved the feel of a good watch on my wrist and this feels good.

I have had this watch for a year and a half now, and I have had constant problems with the watch hands randomly stopping, date skipping forward... Now replaced the battery and the hands don't move at all. I am in touch with Luminox to get warranty coverage. Hope they do since I also bought it from Amazon which might not be an "authorized retailer"...

There is also a design flaw on the crown (that is used to pull out to adjust the time and date) it pops out too easily and does not screw into place when not in use (like other watches). As a military man myself, I know how easily it is to get caught on random things, and if you inadvertently pull the crown out, now your time has stopped. Not useful for "NAVY Seals" or anyone else for that matter.

On the plus side, the tritium dials and still glowing, probably because they aren't actually made by Luminox.

I'll try and post back if they at least honour the warranty, but I would not recommend Luminox to anyone.
