First let me say I fell for these the moment I saw them online! They are super cute and an easy way to get kids excited about eating. To ensure the best experience with these I would keep the following in mind:
1. You have to be mindful of what sort of bread you use because these sandwich cutters are plastic and can't cut through dense or thicker breads very well. Sara Lee Soft and Smooth Whole Wheat Bread and Home Pride Wheat Bread seem to work well and leave minimal amount of waste.
2. Minimize what you put into the sandwich so it stays together. Shift your mind away from deli sandwiches and think of items you would find it tea sandwiches. I find less bulk on the sandwich makes for a better presentation and function as the sandwich will cut cleaner and be less likely to fall apart.
3. Since they are all plastic you can let your kids cut them! Getting them involved makes them more likely to eat the sandwich.

I like them both so I'll stay with her

I bought the "magical" collection but received the "animal" collection. I like them both so I'll stay with her. They need to pay more attention when sending the purchases.

I bought the princess sandwich cutters.
I was really excited about these sandwich cutters, but they didn't work quite as well as I expected. The bread I use is kind of small (Sara Lee Soft and Smooth), so I found it really difficult to punch out the bread. I kind of had to pick it up and smush the bread onto the spots that were supposed to cut. I was also disappointed that some things that I thought would show on the bread were only a design on the punch itself. For example, the crown and face are one piece, not two.
They still work. They just aren't very easy to use on small bread. They probably work well on larger bread. My kids really like the special sandwiches, though. They don't care that they don't break into as many pieces as I thought. I also forgot that my kids only eat half a sandwich, so, unless I cut the fun shapes in half, there is too much. Next time, I think I would pick shapes that divide the sandwich into two separate shapes. (I've seen dolphins and hearts at Walmart.)
I have punched these into toast, and they worked really well.

I have a typically fussy 2 year old who generally will only happily eat pb&j sandwiches. Since I refuse to give her those every day of the week, I was looking for inspiration to try to make healthier sandwiches look more attractive to her. Lunch Punches do just that! I dropped a star because of the fact that (as other reviewers have commented), the designs that are intended to imprint do not always come out well. I haven't had a problem getting them to cut through without mushing the sandwich - we use multi-grain bread, in case it makes a difference! I do pick them up and press along the cutting edge with my fingers, just to make sure it cuts right through, but it's not a major problem and the sandwiches then press out well.

I hate cutting off the crusts for my kids and my daughter refuses to eat sandwiches shaped in little squares or triangles so I normally cut out her sandwiches with a cookie cutter. I saw these and wanted to give them a try. They work okay, the bread does seem to get stuck, but my daughter loves them. The only one that really does not work is the flower one. When you look at the cutter (from the pictures on Amazon) you would think the cutter will cut out five flower designs. That is not how it works, it only cuts out one flower design. Although I don't think its the best product in the world, (cookie cutters do work better) my daughther has been having fun deciding what type of sandwich she wants. So it is not a waste of money for me.

Alright so maybe not all the designs will imprint, but I found that it helps if the bread is room temperature (I only use Rudi's bread and I have found the Spelt bread works well). I also roll the bread out a bit with a rolling pin, the thinner bread is actually nicer for the kids. I push it all the way up and then to get it back out just use the end of a butter knife to push it back out evenly through. No big deal. Find a way to make it work, that's all :) It might not work with gluten free bread ... I haven't tried yet but I don't see it happening.

These are super cute and really do make the sandwiches more fun! My only issues with them is that they are very small and tat the bread tends to get stuck and is hard to push out. I bought a similar product at the grocery store (that are not nearly as cute; just dual dinosaurs and a heart cutout)that do a much better job of using the whole bread. Once these do the cut outs, about 1/4 to almost 1/2 of the sandwich is gone depending on bread size. I haven't yet found a healthy bread small enough to minimize this waste.

It got so boring cutting the crusts off every morning that I set off in search of something more peppy. These girly lunch punches are perfect. Admitting that sometimes they don't come out perfect, but the kids don't care. These seem to maintain most of the sandwich but the flower punch only has the center decoration. You have to use a food marker to trace the corner flowers.
They come out perfect from the dishwasher and since you have four to use, you don't have to wash right away. We love these things

Really creative and fun sandwich cutters. My only issue is the multi-level stamping and cutting... the food seems to get stuck, which isn't a deal breaker, but I'd prefer not to have issues every other use with just the "princess" cutter. Overall, great fun way to make lunchtime more enjoyable for kids. For moms and dads, you might need to keep a toothpick handy for the princess cutter.

Princess and the frog sandwiches
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on April 8, 2014
These are amazing. My daughter loves the Princess and the frog theme. Every day she has a different sandwich shape. They work well in a large sandwich loaf. There is usually a little excess sandwich around the bottom or top so i cut it out and tell her that it is a and our a seat. Perfect.
