Following the events from the first book, The Lure of Air introduces us to Graham Lennox, the new Natura continental president and “Fire Magnus.” Graham coming into power is met with some harsh realities, from dealing with residual Natura politics leftover from his grandfather’s reign to emerging conflicts with witches. All of this on top of his main goal, curing the Natura tripowered disease which his older brother Lach is inflicted with. To aid his work and bring some semblance of normalcy to his life he seeks help from his lab assistant Astrid Barnes. To Graham she is EVERYTHING. She’s his calm to stressful situations, his hope to finding a cure and the woman he’s pined over for the past few years. While Graham is going through the hurdles of his new life, secretly, Astrid is going through her own struggles as her past life and the life she wants clash. It takes many revelations, heartaches and feats of strength both physically and mentally to make the world right for them.
I was looking forward to this book so much and Sloane did not disappoint. I was so fascinated by the first book and the second book just capitalized on it. The Natura world is so captivating and the concepts of Mother Nature, Father Time, the Naturas, the elements,....everything, it’s just awesome. The love of family was really rooted in this book, it felt really tight-knit and that’s something I always enjoy reading. I was heartbroken for the mistreatment of people like Astrid and it was really heartwarming to see that this new generation of Natura’s didn’t discriminate because of what a person was born as, they judge by a persons actions!
Graham and Astrid were really great characters. They are passionate for what they believe in, they love their families deeply, and they want to do what’s right. The were more than made for each other, they’re soul mates in more ways than one.
I loved this book! Read this book, read this series and hope for more book!

Picking up straight after the first book, Graham has taken over ruling the North Amercian Natura area after his Grandfather was killed. He has a lot on his plate..... with his Grandfather's way of ruling, no one trusts a Lennox and a rebellion is brewing. He never wanted this role, and is frankly not best prepared to step into his Grandfather's shoes, but wants to show all the Natura's that not all Lennox's are the same, that he can listen and can change the way things are done. But he was happier when he was in his lab working on a cure for the tripowered disease that is killing his brother and is sweeping through his people. Of course working with his beautiful and talented lab partner was no hardship.....
Astrid is his lab partner, but little does he know just how much she is deceiving him. She is not a Natura, she is a witch, and she is working undercover in the guise of his lab partner. Her mother is just one amongst a lot of witches that have been disappearing over the years, and the group she is working for thinks that Graham's Grandfather was responsible for their disappearance and that they are also being treated as lab rats, as a few have managed to escape and report back before dying. She didn't count on falling head over heels for Graham all the while she was deceiving to him.
This was a great read, lots of drama and action, lots of politics with the witches and the Naturas, lots of hot chemistry and attraction between Astrid and Graham! I didn't like the deceit aspect and the lies Astrid had to tell, but understood why she was doing it, but it really put her in a bad position!! Graham is heartbroken when he realises what she has done, understandably so, he is such a champ to be able to see past her lies. Lots of different subplots and new and intriguing characters along the way, a thoroughly exciting read from start to finish, well worth it.
