Lust is incredibly well written and has the perfect flow to it (devoured in one sitting)
First Zac and Lola will just have you melt. Those two kids are totes adorable. They have you smile each time you see them appear in the book. And that plan in the need melts you. I hated to see how sad they both were and how each wanted a mommy and a daddy in their lives. Not just one of them. That dinosaurs scene was precious. So so precious.
Adrian is a good guy. Very compassionate and caring. His treatment of Perrie shows how much he respects her and loves her. It’s hard for him to because he understands why she became a lady of the night but it still haunts him. His past plays a part in that. So he tries to help her and in the process learns there is more to her than meets the eye. He sees that she puts him in his place and challenges him. she shows him a different side to the same coin and shows his son love. He falls head over heels for her and it frightens him. Because she is a Fox and one that he doesn’t quite understand. As they get to know one another they open up and we see them become more intimate and grounded with one another. They see what the other has been through and understand where they are coming from. They are both helping each other heal and move on. ONly Perrie has a chance to gain her family back and that is scary. Adrian supports her and even encourages her. He is her own cheerleader. You can’t help but love him and he shows that he is scared as well. Will she accept him even after she gains her family back? They are from two different worlds and he fears she will no longer accept his. It’s sad to see this insecurity in him because he is such a strong character.
Perrie is feisty and stubborn. She will do anything to give her daughter a good life. So when Adrian gives her a chance she reluctantly takes it but doesn’t mind giving him digs along the way. Their banter is sarcastic and biting in a fun way. you can feel the attraction between them leap off the page. And you feel for her in the situation she is in. Such a great mom. Along the way she learns and grows as does Adrian. She heals and forgives. She even lets Adrian in and trusts him. Watching them fall in love was both sweet, entertaining and frustrating because they were both so reluctant at times. We get both POV’s and it is eyeopening. Adrian with the children has you just melt. He is so warm and real. these two so belong together and help each other stay in line..
A fun story that shows us the other side of sin city and how sometimes those in the sin aren’t as they seem. How life throws curveballs and you find a way to deal. A story of finding love, acceptance and family.
The storyline was fun and entertaining. The characters were relatable and I couldn’t help falling in love with each one of them. The pace and flow of the story was perfect. Once I picked this book up I had a hard time putting it down.
I was looking forward to reading Lust ever since I finished reading Sin (Book 1). I was intrigued by the blurb….a Hooker and a Cop….you knew it had to be interesting. This book was so much more than I had hoped for. I think this might just be one of my all time favorites by Emma.
Lust is the second book in Emma’s Vegas Nights Series. This book is told in Dual POV and is a complete standalone and there is NO cliffhanger. You don’t have to read Sin before reading Lust, but I would highly recommend it. We meet Perrie Fox in Sin and you get a little bit of the Fox background while reading Sin. It helps you understand Perrie and her situation a little better. Now if you decide to read Lust before Sin, Emma does a great job filling in the blanks so you aren’t lost. I will tell you that if you read Lust first, there are some small spoilers in it for Sin. So read at your own risk ;)
My only negative to this story was, I wish we would’ve gotten an epilogue. I wanted just a little bit more of Perrie and Adrian’s story once I got to the end. Knowing this is the last book in this series, I just wanted to know how things in the future turned out for both couples. Oh well…..it didn’t take away from my complete enjoyment of this book.
In this book we follow the journey of Perrie and Adrian. Perrie is a single mother just trying to make the best life she can for her and her daughter Lola. Perrie was shunned by her family when she became pregnant and that has forced her to make choices she normally wouldn’t have. Perrie is a Hooker. Adrian is a cop in Las Vegas and is the head of the division that is to bring down the sex trade in Vegas. So when he arrests Perrie in a casino one night, color her surprised when he lets her go. But of course it isn’t without strings. Find out what Perrie has to do to avoid being arrested by reading this book. Can a Hooker and a Cop get their HEA?? Read this wonderful book to find out.
Trust me when I say you are going to want to read this story. Not only because it is interesting and unique, but because there are two of the cutest children in this story. Lola and Zac truly stole the story. I love when authors put kids into the story, they tend to lend the comic relief some stories need. Lola and Zac truly made me laugh on many occasions.
Another GREAT read from Emma Hart. One you don’t want to miss!!!
