Are these cherries expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? 100000% - they make the drink. Splurge if you want to make dynamite drinks.

I heard about these particular cherries whilst looking at drink recipes on youtube and the makers of these videos highly recommended these ones and say that they are much better then the other glade cherries that you would find cheaply at the supermarket and when I purchased them here on Amazon, I can tell that they were not bluffing. These cherries are as real as they can and being preserved in it's own alcoholic liquor, not only does it give a strong and distinctive sweet flavour but it also can last much longer too. It is not as sickly sweet that you would find in all artificially made glade cherries. There are very natural and they will go well providing a flavour boost of any drink that you need it too. You can also have it on it's own as a simple fancy nibble as well. I would advise caution as they can be highly addictive. Only a small amount of alcohol will be on each cherry so depending on how much you use, it could not become an issue. Wonderful item and I would highly suggest adding this item to your regular drink bar supply list. My family tasted this and they as well as myself have enjoyed it vey much. I give much credit to Luxardo and all the drink makers on youtube for providing this.

Took me quite a while to finally decide spending the money on these cherries was worth it. I read the reviews and the general consensus seems to be they are wonderful/the best/worth every penny etc. so finally I clicked the pay now button and ordered them … was it worth it … hmmm! … I'm not so sure.
The cherries are coated in the fairly thick, rich, sweet syrup in the jar they come in, which makes them feel a bit sticky and dare I say it slimy. I was desperate to try one having waited so long to finally get round to buying them and I popped one into my mouth but to be honest, it was much sweeter than I thought it would be and it left a dry(ish) slightly bitter after taste … so I guess I must say I was not really impressed. My friend though, thought they were delicious! Anyway, when these have gone, I wont be buying more, certainly not at this price and I am going to be trying other types of cherries for my cocktails.

Now *this* is the flavour I’ve been seeking for years!! My favourite cake is Black Forest Gateau and for years I’ve been buying trying to make a decent home made version - mostly using cherry pie filling; however - once I heard about this stuff I thought I would give it a go and boy is it worth it! It’s not cheap but it makes every recipe so much better! I’ve used it by itself for small individual desserts (yum) and have added these to standard cherry pie filling to add depth and flavour. Even just the syrup by itself is something special - and worth savouring. I haven’t tried in cocktails but imagine these cherries would be delish! Highly recommended.

Ordered these as was making classic cocktails over Christmas. Usually use the bright red variety found in supermarkets but having watched some cocktail making videos everyone raved about these. As it was Christmas I thought I would give them a go.
To be fair the postage added to the cost considerably BUT they arrived within 2 days (was told it would be a week) and the flavour is just so good!! My friend agreed 100%, as a special treat they are out of this world. You just cannot compare them to the old bright red variety. Service from Lakeland was worth every penny for the festive period.

I first tried one in a swanky bar in Soho and insisted they showed me the jar! Expensive but really really delicious. I use them in cocktails (Manhattans mostly) and wouldn't use anything else unless I had no choice. TOP QUALITY. There is no better preserved cherry. If you haven't tried them you must.

Try making a Black-forest Gateaux with them. An expensive pudding but the best!
