5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Refreshingly Clean Stars
By M Ham Mon on December 28, 2014
I originally purchased the Luxe bidet on a lark, after completely renovating my master bathroom and wanting to take my toilet up a level in sophistication. After all, if my shower can have pulsating massage jets, why can't my toilet? Shipping was fast, and the Luxe bidet was easy to install, taking less than 10 minutes with no required skill. The instructions were easy to follow and everything needed is provided. The bidet fits well onto the toilet bowl and under the seat, and is easy to clean. All well and good.
On to the test drive. I was initially a bit nervous as a "dry run" pressing down the lever resulted in a powerful stream of water shooting out the toilet and hitting the far wall and ceiling of my bathroom. It seems I have very high water pressure, and if this is the case for you as well, I'd advise easing into the lever, instead of pushing it straight down or you too might shoot up and hit the far wall of your bathroom. I suppose there are probably people who would really enjoy the equivalent of Old Faithful rushing to greet their nethers, but I'm not one to live for extremes and usually find pressing the lever down only half way quite comfortably enough. The cool water option is refreshing, and the hot nice and soothing. As another reviewer noted, the thought of cold water might make you cringe, but is in reality very pleasant.
One feature I'm quite impressed with is the bidet's aim. The lever rotates right for "wash" option, and left for a "women" option, and after having both men and women try out the bidet, all are happy to report back, as am I, that no matter which way you rotate the lever, the stream hits you with extreme accuracy. The science and mathematics that must have been done to ensure the exact triangulation needed to achieve such sharp-shooter precision should be applauded, and I am quite proud my toilet is capable of such feats. It has become quite the show-and-tell piece for visitors to my home.
Lastly, the most important function of a bidet is it's ability to get you clean, and the Luxe bidet will get you CLEAN. There's no more need for wet wipes, quadruple-ply cashmere quilted toilet paper by the yard, or any other expensive and wasteful products. The bidet quite simply leaves every user shower fresh. And while this may not be a priority for individuals whilst in solitude, as someone happily partnered, this has certainly improved the quality and efficiency of our partnered activities.
Thus, any product that can boast such ability to so easily improve (some may even say revolutionize!) the bathroom experience, is deserving of 5 stars, and I will certainly be purchasing more for the guest bathroom, my parents, and as a wedding gift for my new sister in law.

2.0 out of 5 stars Do not use the hot water supply, the cold one works fine
Reviewed in Canada on January 6, 2019
First, I would say, do not, under any circustance, use the white, hot water tube they give, to connect to your hot water supply. It is very flimsy, even when fastened tight and it'll blow out and flood your washroom. Worst case scenario would be for it to pop off when you're not home and cause thousands of dollars of water damage. Check your insurance policy to see whether or not you want to risk it.

The cold water tube is fine because it's metal and actually looks built to last. I would advise the company to give a metal tube for the hot water as well because cheap plastic is a disaster waiting to happen. As it has already happened to customers here.

If you have children, make sure they don't put their weight on the remote because it'll snap off, it's cheap plastic.

When you're ready to install it, I'd say to do it with someone else because sometimes you need 3 or 4 hands to get to the hard to reach places under the sink and toilet bowl. I advise you to place buckets under all the supply lines you'll unscrew because there's always some left over water, even when you shut it off. Keep them under for a day to see if there are any leaks. Use little towels as well during the installation as some water will drip. You'll need your own wrench to loosen the water supply knobs, they get very stiff with the years.

The company sent the wrong size hot water T adapter (1/2 inch) which was too big for my supply line. However, customer service sent the right size (3/8 inch) within a day, free of charge, so very quick response and good customer service.

The cold water jet is fine and very strong. You'll have to adjust yourself to make sure it hits the right spot. It may sting, so make sure to open the water very slowly at first, and then increase the pressure. You'll still need some toilet paper, of course, it doesn't completely clean you. Plus, you might want a hand towel because it wets other areas of your bum as well when it splashes. Also, if you don't connect the hot water supply on the 320 model, you'll need to put the white knob on the bidet so the water doesn't leak from the hot water exhaust.

To do it over again, I would have bought the Luxe Bidet Neo 185 which is just cold water and costs 20$ less since I won't use the hot water supply.

It has also been said you'll need to replace it every 2-3 years or so because the plastic inside the mecanism will break down, so consider whether or not you'll want to do that, and evaluate the state of your bidet once in a while to make sure there are no leaks.

You feel much cleaner after using the bidet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone must have - who smears crap around anymore?
Reviewed in Canada on April 20, 2017
I have upgraded a few things in my house and the one that always gets the compliment is this bidet.

Not as pretty as those designed into the toilet seat but very functional and inexpensive. Having warm water is a must, and with the pull-up self-evident handle, pressure is easily controlled.

Tube management could be improved with maybe a split corrugated loom sheath to slide over tubing to keep it together. The toilet looks like the Borg has assimilated it.

The price is very reasonable but you get what you pay for - the plastic T for under the tank is crap - it leaks unless tightened to within a hair of snapping it off and is hard on the fingers in such confined spaces. As I am replacing the inside tank filler shortly, I will be replacing the T valve with a metal variant.

[October 2017 Update] After six months, the bidet is going strong and hasn't leak. I have two comments, the first is that the blue rubberized sections around the handle and knob collects dust and can't be easily cleaned. The rubber texture grabs on everything and makes it difficult to clean. Not great around a toilet. On the other hand, I really like that, unlike expensive bidets that require power, this one doesn't need power and is one less phantom draw.

[March 2018 Update] A year later and still going strong and replaced the plastic T adapters with metal where I could. The rubber texture part is actually easy to clean with a wet cloth. All good!

[Update June 2020] Holy life saver in a pandemic! Use way less TP! I don’t know what others have been complaining about the hot water hose bursting, mine has been fine for three years and it is low pressure warm water anyway, unless you run it for ten minutes. I usually run it on no-spray “clean” mode for a minute to get the warm water to the Bidet, which also gets the warm water to the faucet! No freezing butt for me in the winter.

[Update January 2021] Installed one at my girlfriend’s place and she likes it better than the electronic one that cost her five hundred dollars. Endless hot water and no electronics or wiring needed. My own house is working great.
