No idea what this stuff is. My business partner is from South Africa, and apparently it's a standard on his table. I went to a braai at his house (if you don't know what a braai is, google it -- apparently, South Africans have perfected grilling out far beyond what we in the states know of), and he handed Lyle's to me, along with some warm bread. Holy cow. This stuff is what honey wanted to be when it grows up. Spectacular honey meets caramel meets vanilla-ish slightly burned spun sugar flavor! I no longer have any need for honey or maple syrup in my home - this stuff bridges the gap between both, and is better than either, and goes on more stuff than both put together. Check it out!

I've used Lyle's syrup for years its a great. replacement for corn syrup. Unfortunately when I received package it didn't have the same container product shown on the listing. It was a pancake syrup vs the
standard I've used for years. I was able to get a return credit for this mishap.
