Once put together I noticed that it was sturdy, but once again it was cost effective so of course it's not going to be as sturdy as buying a $90.00 show rack. (Remember this is $35.00 dollars not $90.00). It fit all 50 pairs of shoes (I am a size 8M) and might fit a few more if you arrange the shoes in an alternating way as show in the instructions. The shoe slots are a little bit small but I managed to fit everything in, even a few of my 5 inch heels.
Despite some of the reviews, none of the pieces broke, and it is sturdy enough to fit 50 pairs of shoes and keep standing. (I can see though if you have bigger shoes or men's shoes 50 pairs may not fit). My suggestion is follow the instructions closely but use a rubber mallet instead of a hammer. The mallet works just as well and will prevent the pieces from breaking. Once the shoe rack is completely put together, go over all the pieces with the mallet for a more sturdy hold. Some of the pieces were a little difficult to place together but I kept trying with the mallet and everything seemed to fit in place. I will be buying the 30 piece edition because I still have a whole lotta shoes to go and hopefully it will fit on top of the 50 piece shoe rack.
- Cheap Plastic
- it would never hold the amount of shoe's it say's it would, unless maybe you secured it to the wall with a lot of Tape
Not a happy Customer, the wife quit helping me half way during the set up to start to weep on how stupid we were to
Buy a cheap piece of s*** for good money. I'm the shoe collector in this family, they now sit piled in a box. As for the so called shoe rack, it went to the land fill the same day I received it.
This doesn't happen to us often, getting something that we are not happy with, but this one hit the head of the nail.
Thanks for taking your time to read, BUT! You asked.
