Delicious, Great Alternative, High-Quality

I've been drinking less alcohol lately, and wanted to find a good alternative that was reminiscent of alcohol, but was alcohol-free. I ordered several different brands from Amazon to try, and I understood these wouldn't taste the same as their alcoholic counterparts (unlike some reviewers, who are expecting them to be the exact same). Still, some of them tasted either like syrupy kool-aid or carbonated fruit juice to me. But Lyre's is the best of the bunch. I like Campari, so I decided to try Lyre's Italian Orange -- and loved it. It's got that same bitterness of Campari, and a reminiscent (not exact) taste, but is still light and flavorful. I've added it to tonic water, and that is refreshing. I also have now tried Lyre's Orange Sec, and it's sweeter, but also very good. Mixing a little Italian Orange with the Orange Sec together is even better! And then adding some tonic to that makes it like an Aperol Spritz. Lyre's customer service is excellent. These aren't cheap, but in my opinion they seem made with high-quality ingredients and are worth it. I'm now ordering some of Lyre's other flavors. It's great to find something that I can drink in those situations where I used to drink alcohol, but without the negative side-effects.

Am I currently day-drinking the NA “Campari” and soda I’ve been craving all summer while on an interminable work call? Yes. Yes I am.

It truly blows my mind that someone has been able to produce a non-alcoholic substitute for Campari (a bitter in the amaro family) that tastes like the real thing! I sampled it straight from the bottle, aroma and flavor was spot on. Then I made my husband and I cocktails with it and Fever Tree grapefruit tonic. WOW! So good!

A fake Rolex tells you the time too - but its fake. It feels like the real deal but you know it is not. The dial looks weird, the movement is all messed up etc.

Now, we buy this because we want to cutdown alcohol and sip something in its place that almost feels like a real drink. And, that's where this fails. It is watery and viscous like a sugar syrup consistency - nothing like Campari. Also, the mouth feel is completely different. Campari is mouth watering bitter. It has that citrus peel bitterness that's carries throughout the drink. This feels like a watered down kids drink in the park with too much of gunk mixed in.

And, finally what they are asking for in terms of price is insane. If this was priced in the same ratio like a real Rolex versus a fake one, may be I wont complain. In this case, the price is more than the real stuff. And, that sucks big time.

I really wanted to like this product. It is the best reviewed of the no alcohol alternatives. I was not expecting it to taste like Campari, but I was hoping for something remotely in the ballpark. The packaging is beautiful, but that is the only benefit. It is the thickness of water. And tastes a little bit like watered down Kool-Aid with a slight aperitif flavor. Tried it neat and even in a Negroni with the rest of the ingredients being the regular alcohol. Wish I had not spent so much to give it a try. Hopefully, someday someone will come up with something that low/no alcohol that is remotely flavorful. But in the meantime, this ain’t it.

This is a really excellent beverage, regardless of whether or not you're trying to replicate the Campari experience. It's a full and intense flavor that thankfully isn't too sweet (something that I was worried about prior to purchase).

I've only had it neat or over ice, and I'm please to say that the flavor doesn't thin out too much when served over ice. I hope to try it in an actual recipe soon, but honestly I'm fine just drinking it straight.

This is excellent. I have tried a lot of non-alcoholic spirits, mixers and cocktails over the past year and it's so great that there are many options out there. This Lyre's Italian Orange tastes WONDERFUL. It's my favorite non-alcoholic option now. I like mixing it with crushed ice and bitters. I have also cut down on my red wine consumption by mixing the Lyre's with a few ounces of red wine and sparkling water or high-quality tonic. Sounds weird, but it's SO GOOD! Highly, highly recommend. I wish it was cheaper because I'm flying through it and already ordered two more bottles. It's 3x what I'd pay for an equivalent amount of wine! But worth it.

This tastes good and almost makes a replacement Negroni-type drink, but you'll need to tip 20 - 25% of the bottle in to get a good flavour up. The flavour is great, but at the price it's just too much dosh to spend on a soft drink. I'm now looking into making my own versions of cocktails instead with kombucha, chillis, limes, herbs and whatever else I can add to fizzy water...
