Very bad book - I don't believe I made it through the entire thing.

M-day - the day all the men went crazy. Basically they became cave men. They want to have sex with women. They have incredible tempers where they kill women. They even fight with each other.

In the beginning, Max blames herself for another member of her team being captured. I would have expected a woman to react much quicker to a man trying to steal her friend than Max did. Also, I would think that Max would know a bullet to her friend would have been kinder than letting her be captured by an infected man.

While trying to steal some gas, Max runs into a man that is "un-infected". She and her group of 2 other women go back with him to his military base. The military base contains un-infected men. However, they check the women for bite marks. Zee hides Max's mark.

These marks mean that the cavemen can track the women they bite.

The leader of the military group decides he wants to be like the I-men (Infected men) and injects himself with the virus. They are testing I-men to try to find the cure. The leader lets all the I-men lose. Zee, Max, and her two friends get away. However Max is captured later. She is taken to a crazy cave. Forced sex. Death. Just a sick place.

She finally escapes.

The group moves forward............ The next book comes out.

I really didn't like this book. Zee wasn't an ideal hero. He followed his commander. He was rough. He had sex with Max. He was almost brutal. Not like he loved her, more like he lusted after her.

Max was tough. She also was pretty stupid at times. Her friend Evo was kick-butt and I really liked her. (She was a secondary character) Evo looked to the future.

Imagine a post apocalyptic world where instead of reanimated flesh eating corpses there are crazed men. Men who's senses are not only amped up but have just their basic primal urges. This isn't your normal zombie story, this is M-day.

I must admit that I'm not a huge reader of dystopian novels. Especially when it comes to zombies. So I when I saw that D.T. was writing a post apocalyptic novel I thought "zombie?! Esh!". Yeah, they really freak me out. However, I was glad that the book has nothing to do with flesh eating zombies. Instead we get a bunch of steroid idiots running around causing havoc. Okay, so maybe they aren't on steroids but sometimes they reminded me of someone with roid rage. So I was quite happy that there weren't any real zombies walking around in this book.

D.T. took your typical "military looking for suped up soldiers" story and turned it into an erotic tale. The men who are infected are not only have heightened senses but they have an incredibly high libido with no morals to balance it out. So yeah, just let that stew for a minute and you will get the picture. It was definitely a new and refreshing take on the whole "super soldier gone bad" thing. But this isn't just a dystopian erotic romance... there is a lot of grit to it. I found myself on more than one occasion cringing on behalf of Max. I mean, this world that she lives in is messed up and there isn't really any hope of things going back to normal.

If you're looking for something dark with an erotic twist that this would be right up your alley. This definitely isn't a feel-good romance. You will be horrified and disgusted at some point, I can almost guarantee it. If you weren't, than the author wasn't doing her job because post apocalyptic (in my mind) is supposed to be horrifying and she hit the nail on the head.

So I must say i'm currently hooked on Dystopian end of the world books and love that there are so many thoughtful creative writers out there. I would say this is definitely an 18+ book lots of graphic sexual details. I love finding new books that I didn't know were out there and this is one of those. This book had me laughing and cursing Max for some of the crazy things she did but in world ending due to a change in male DNA there was also love and hope. It definitely wasn't your normal end of the world book but I must admit I enjoyed it.

While I thought the idea would be something new to try, I read many types of books but only a few zombie ones....even a couple with super soldier etc. This book tried to combine them and pulled it off mediocrely. There are holes, stuff goes on and we don't get any info on...where did Zee go for his short mission, how did they save Max, where did the other uninfected soldiers go after the compound battle...in fact we don't see or find anymore unfected men from then on...s so then who is to receive the vaccine. I have also read an erotic book now and then to spice up my reading, and the few times Zee and Max go at it aren't that special. I would have gave three stars but, the sick way the infected men treated the women was beyond over the top...that wasn't erotic just horribly sickening...bad enough they are being raped to death, but to keep describing more uuugh don't know how I finished. And lastly, what the he'll kind of friend is Evo anyways, holy cow was she awful. If I could, I would return, being deleted after my review.
