concussion that triggers something in her brain that allows her “jump”
into the minds of other people. The accident also sends her ex-best
friend to the hospital in a coma. One thing leads to another, and soon
Cassie has clues involving a seemingly unrelated hit-and-run. But she
can’t solve the crime by reading other people’s thoughts; she can only
feel what they feel, see what they see, and try to figure it out from
there. Very cool concept. I especially like the way everything ties
together, uniting what at first seems random but ends up making
perfect sense in an exciting dramatic climax. The romance between
Cassie and the ex-friend’s brother adds just enough spice, making the
whole thing a fast and entertaining read.
