One critical part of the discussion in the book is on how best to approach potential reviewers, in a personal way, so that you don't appear as a robot who has sent out the same unimaginative approach to 50 other reviewers
Most writers, and that includes me, tend to be shy by nature. We write books, often taking years to do so, and then think we have achieved something. But we are only half-way there. Your book, without publicity, is a dead goldfish floating belly-up in its fish tank. To get it to swim the writer needs to go out into the market place ans sell it as best he or she can. And book reviews are an essential publicity bell to get yourself noticed. A farmed does not grow a field of cabbage and feels his work is done until he actually sells what he has produced. it is no different for writers. I was slow enough myself to realize this reality. So go sell - and book reviews are essential in this.
Fine, but how do I get book reviews? Buy M.J. Joachim's - How to get Positive Reviews for your Book. You won't regret it.
I have no hesitating in recommending 5 stars. Patrick.
Joachim has answered many of the questions a self-published author would have. This a great tool to utilize. All self-published authors should read this book before they start the arduous task of seeking reviews.
Written in a positive and honest manner, M. J. Joachim's Book Review Guide, empowers the self published author. This is an enjoyable, economic read that will save time and frustration to the Indie author.
