If you are a renter, sneaking this into your apartment, this review is for you. Unfortunately, this does come delivered in a box describing what is in the box. It was in Spanish, so my Super would've been able to easily read it. There was no photo, however, and I was able to get the delivery in the door without anyone noticing it. This was easily nestled in my kitchen next to shelving and refrigerator. It is nice and small (not too small) and I was able to slide it across to the kitchen sink ( 2 feet) pretty easily even when 9 months pregnant. I kept the piece of cardboard from the box it came in, so it would slide across the tiles effortlessly. In my current apartment, I keep this washer in a utility closet. I purchased casters to roll it across the room. I highly recommend getting the casters because it also eliminates some of the noise on the floor.
The next challenge was the noise factor. I started this machine and couldn't believe it. There was very little sound, and I successfully drowned it out completely by keeping my stove top fan running.
Some tips on noise:
The more water there is to swoosh around freely, the more noise this will make. I like to pack the clothes enough so that the water does not make so much noise.
For some reason, hot water makes the spin cycle bang loudly. This is the only reason I gave this a 4 instead of 5 star. Regardless of how much or how little water there is, or clothing there is, the spin cycle gets loud when hot water is involved. Other wise, warm and cold are almost silent on spin.
This machine spins clothes almost dry and find it spins better than the pro Laundromat washers. I hang my wash up for a few hours and its ready.
I highly recommend this washer. It is now almost 2 years later, and I have not had any problems with it.
In my setup, I chose not to use the faucet adapter and instead purchased the plumbing parts to tap into the hot water pipe under my bathroom sink and the cold water intake from the toilet (pictures included). The parts were about $40 but I can now operate the machine like a normal washer and never have to deal with hooking and unhooking from a faucet.
UPDATE: I've been running the washer heavily for one year with no problems. The washer in the above review is the model with no dryer built in. This washer has been so great to me that I am now buying the washer dryer combo model(there are several model options) I have permanently plumbed my current washer into my water lines and drain lines under the sink just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone interested in a more permanent setup that this is possible to do... Will update again when I receive the combo unit.
